TAYLORS POV
" I thought you told me not to talk to you, Taylor?" He said as i sat next to him.
"I'm not gonna talk to you! I'm just sitting here! That's it, nothing more!" I responded hoping my stern voice would scare him off.
To be completely honest, I had no clue why I was talking to him. I didn't like him very much, but he was intriguing.
Not in a homo way, just so you know
___________________________AUTHORS NOTE: THIS STORY ISN'T THE USUAL WAY OF DATING AND WHATEVER BUT YOU HAVE A MATE, LIKE A SOUL MATE , WHO IS ASSIGNED THROUGH YOUR BLOOD. It can be a girl or boy, not based on gender but most people have girlxboy, also everyone finds out who their soulmate is at different times (both mates dont necessarily get each other at the same time either)
___________________________TAYLORS POV ONE MONTH AGO:
"Mom why do I have to go to the doctor I had an appointment last week!" I wined but she wasn't having any of my crap.
She didn't say a word as she pulled me out the door. Heading to our Volvo wagon, I noticed her facial expression. It wasn't happy like it normally was when we got out of the house.
It was angry and annoyed, also seemed slightly confused."Mom.. is something wrong?"
"No, just get in the car." She let go of my hand, got into the car, and started driving.
She didn't look at me the entire time, I was starting to get worried. She always, for the most part, acted cheerful in dark situations. This had to be terrible.
I heard her suddenly mumble, "why now, so young, so innocent."
I didn't respond but I wondered if she was talking about me.
A few minutes later we pulled into the large parking lot. There were almost no cars there considering it was the middle of summer at five in the morning, on a Saturday.
We walked into the building and up the stairs. Once into the office, a skinny lady escorted me into a small, separate room. Without my mother.
"Why can't my mother be in here with me?" I was just a little worried.
"Don't worry it's just something special you need to talk about with the doctor." She winked and walked out, I didn't even noticed there was a blood scanner next to me.
Just as the nurse left, who I assumed was the doctor came in.
"Hey Taylor! I'm the blood doctor, let me take a look ok?" I nodded also mentally high-fived myself for guessing he was the doctor.
He scanned my arm with the blood scanner. I knew what the machine did, but he explained it anyway,
"So, this blood scanner scans your arm to see if there's any special events going on in your blood. No need for needles! Last week when we tested your blood there were a couple purple, glowing spots. That could mean something vey special Taylor!"
I hated how he talked to me like a baby."Okay! All finished!" He exclaimed, but then he looked down at the scanner picture and looked shocked.
I freaked, "What is it?! Is something wrong with me?!"
"No no, it's just..."
"What?!"
"No one has ever gotten such a strong mate force so early in age.."
"What do you mean mate.. force?"
"Well you know what mates are right son?"
"Yes, like a soulmate, assigned to be perfect!"
"Right! Well a mate force is the measurement of how perfect you are for each other, you too have an extremely high force. One of the highest I've ever seen."
" why is that bad? Wouldn't that be good if we're so perfect for each other?"
" it's fantastic! But at this age? Your what thirteen?"
"Yes sir!" I responded trying to be as respectful as possible.
"When you get an extremely strong mate force, you have to move in together in the span of a year. Two kids moving in together? Absurd!"
"What's the name...?"
"His name is skyler."
His... a boy."Is He the same age as me?"
"Yes"
I silently thanked the universal spirits of anything he wasn't way older or younger."Does he know ? You Know... that we are soul mates?"
The doctor looked at me with pitiful eyes."No he doesn't come to the doctors that often, once a year, only for check ins."
"How will we move in together then?"
"He'll be called in soon to the doctors office, we'll let him know then, after, we'll call you both in along with your parents and we'll talk about it! You are dismissed."
I got up, slightly confused of this sudden news. Right as I was about to exit the room the doctor grabbed my shoulder."Taylor, another thing about mate forces, skyler might be REALLY REALLY perfect for you but his force does have a chance of being higher or lower. Just don't get disappointed if it is."
I nodded and left the office, my mom followed. We went home in silence.
___________________________TAYLORS POV IN THE PRESENT:
I was sitting next to my soulmate. I guess I did care about him if he was perfect, but I still didn't want to be near him.
He clearly didn't know we were soulmates, so the doctors hadn't tested him yet.
"Umm ok.." he finally responded to my earlier smug comment.
"I thought I told you not to talk!!!"
I played tough with him.
He flinched as I yelled, and nodded trying not to talk.
It was kind of cute. I swore under my breath for thinking a such naive thought.
Suddenly I stood up and reached out my hand.
He looked at me for a second then excepted it.
