Donny snapped his head to the right where the door was to see that it was opened.

He walked slowly and cautiously to the very front. Unlike before, Donny held no weapon for there was nothing of value left to him. Making it to the door, which was left wide open as well, he came to the realization that what showed right in front of him was the inevitable dread that had co summer his very existence since the day he knew he could lose his world. The sky was a void. An endless pitch black sky that sucked you in. Although this was the current situation, the rest of the are in which Donny stood stayed illuminated as if there was an involve sun shining down on him and this world he thought he knew.
Dreams couldn't have made up such a phenomenon and imagination had its barriers that were tough to break down. This... This was death, because the flaming ball of something that came closer every second was taunting to the core. Donny stood awaiting his fate. What could he do anyway? There was nowhere to run that would block this existential weapon God had sent down. He figured he had something to care about, but as every thought of his life came rushing back again nothing seemed of value. Was that all he was now? A man that lacked value? Surely there was something to keep him alive, but maybe the dread and laziness to think in that very moment gave him an excuse to just let it all go.
It was coming closer, every color shifting in his head, until he could begin to feel the heat of the ball radiating towards the ground. With that, Donny shut his eyes gently, stood with one foot slightly in front of the other, and opened his arms to tell the void he was ready.
"Just a reminder... I don't know who I am anymore."
And that was it for Donny except it wasn't. Because although he did get obliterated into many pieces and his blood painted the void, Donny's consciousness stay a whole to witness what matter would soon become. To live forever more and to suffer the consequences that were granted by...
