Chapter 2
~Jayden's Point Of View (POV)~
I tapped my foot on the floor impatiently. Where was he? Shouldn't he be here by now? Just then a car pulled into my driveway and I looked out the window. Finally!
Tyler stepped outside of his car, his face! emotionless. I sat down on my couch and he walked right in, not bothering to knock.
"Why were you late?" I asked curiously.
"None of your buisness," he snapped.
I burst out crying, he was so mean! I had just asked a question!
I stopped crying as quick as I had started and looked at him. His face was still masking his real emotions. He didn't even say sorry!
He looked up at the ceiling. What was his problem? The past few days he'd been distant. Ever since I told him I was pregnant...
Tyler suddenly turned his gaze to me, finally showing some emotion.
"Jayden," he said, his words filled with venom and coldness. I wanted to cry but kept them from streaming out. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing he made me cry. I knew what was coming, and I dreaded it. I hadn't done anything wrong!
"I think that we need.. see other people."
I could tell he was struggling with the right words and tears filled my eyes, threatening even more to come spilling out.
"You found someone else didn't you?" I made sure my words were cold and filled with anger. I glared at him.
Tyler took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Maybe," he said his words barely above a whisper.
I turned away from him and ran up to my room, the tears that had been threatening to come streaming down my face.
I heard a door slam and knew he was leaving. Good. I could do better without him anyways.
I picked up my phone and dialed my best friend Layla's number. It was time to tell the whole truth.
~Layla's Point Of View~
"I got the magic in me, every time I touch that track it turns into go--" My phone rang and I picked it up from my desk and answered it. "Hello?" I asked.
"Hey... it's Jayden," she said, her voice cracking.
"Jayden! Are you okay?" I asked.
"No..." Jayden said through the phone.
"What's wrong?" I asked urgently.
"Tyler broke up with me," Jayden said softly.
My blood turned to ice. So.. Trey was right?! Or was this some sort of cruel trick? And Tyler was going out with ME. Not Jayden.
"I didn't know you were dating," I said coolly, playing along with it.
"Well... I didn't want to tell because I know how much you like him..."
My grip on the phone tightened. This was so annoying. Tyler wouldn't cheat on anyone. I knew him better than that. They were the one's lying!
"Why did he break up with you?" I asked, my voice coming out harsher then I had wanted, but I didn't care. She deserved it.
"I don't know!" she wailed. "Maybe it's because I'm pregnant..."
I froze. She wasn't lying. She wouldn't joke about this. This was the truth. But Tyler had to have a different side of the story. I decided this would be a good time to "got to go."
