Yep I lied. It must feel nice to be the one who was tricked. You expected some wierd afterlife with a world of ghosts. Nope!
I had awoken in my room. My apartment where the news was on. I reached for my stomach remembering about last night. It felt. Painless? There wasn't anything that could prove I had even been touched.
"Local reports of people dead in unusual spots. We suggest to have someone to walk with until the situation is fixed. Do not answer to strangers." I listened to the news unsure what to feel. I was glad I wasn't the only one who was being attacked but..
"Oh hello there will. You've awaken and well rested." That familiar voice. Soft and calm. I stood still shocked but at the same time I wasn't surprised how I've become a target.
"Those people have been attacked for what reason? You attacked me and I can't feel anything "
The girl smiled and sat down on a couch turning off the tv. How long has that tv been on?
"Oh you are just adorable when you're asleep and scared. You had no idea weather I killed you or not. If you hadn't figured it out, I am the creature of the night, you are one of my latest victims. Now for that putting you to sleep part was just so I could feed without you struggling"
My eyes than widened. This girl was crazy. Vampires don't exsist. There's no way that such creatures could exist. I tried to run to the door but no surprise either she somehow gotten to the door before I could.
"You shouldn't run from someone who spared you. I could have you killed now and no one would know it for days until they walked into this small home of yours."
I took a step back falling on the chair. This was an unjust game. This was an game that I had little to no chance to win.
"Oh don't worry I'll decide on your fate but for now I'll just keep an eye on you until I decide weather I should keep playing around or killing you" she than whispered into my ears grabbing my shoulders firmly
"If you try telling anyone about our little date than I'll just have to finish you off and I truly don't wish to kill my interests just yet. I wish to keep my little prisoner of fate binded a bit longer until I see fit" she than pat my cheeks while I flinched.
I opened my eyes only to see I was alone. She disappeared. I leaned back. Now I got a leach on me who sees me as a target. What's next thor busting down the door demanding to watch Gilmore girls?I went back to the one place I knew to go. It was the coffee shop. I opened up the door to see a few familiar faces. Some grimaced but others didn't seem to try and see who was there
"Will you should go see the boss. He isn't happy" one of the co workers said than walked off quickly. A talk to the boss isn't usually a good thing. This meant that something either really good was about to happen or something terrible is about to go down.
"Will you haven't been around for a week. You do realize that right?"
I stared eye widdened. A week?! But that's just.. just crazy
"Uhm no sir! I.. had a few family business that I had to handle. Things weren't going right and I had to get to north Carolina before the family feud blew up".
He smiled. And chuckled. His eyes stared out the window of the passing cars and than spoke
"You remind me when I was young. I wanted to do alot of things that didn't involve work. I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to be Christopher barks. Not some coffee shop manager. You're a very terrible liar will happy. I admire you're enthusiasm but I can't have slackers in my work management"
with that I had recived a pink slip of death with at least a cupon for a 20% off espresso. But as for the moment I was kinda feeling a bit of a depresso. The following night maybe it was as soon as I got home. Maybe even it was when I was about to sleep but guess who it was waiting for me? No prizes for guessing that vampire!
"You have no home after a month. You should come with me my little prisoner. "
She smiled looking me in the eyes. She's only here to come and kill me. I should stall.
"You're only here to take what's mine. Go find someone else to play with I'll manage without you".
This wasn't a wise choice of words.
She than grabbed my hands forcing her face close to mine
"You have one month. By the time you'll be homeless and starving. I will not have my prisoners blood going bad do you understand?! You will have a month and if you don't agree than I'll have you killed!" With that said I felt a sharp pain in my neck. It was painful. Like a dog had grabbed ahold of my neck and slowly ripping at my muccles.
After a few more moments she was gone. My neck felt numb and I had a choice to surrender or die. Everyone was right. I truly was just a prisoner of fate.
