I didn't get home until just after dinner last night. My aunt lectured me and Sophie on responsibility and sent us off to bed.

The next morning, I didn't wake up until 9am. Which was quite odd for me. After I got dressed, I shuffled into the kitchen to see Nathan sitting at the table. "Sophie doesn't wake up until after noon." I told him, sitting next to him. "I'm not here for Soph." he corrected. "I'm here for you. We're going shopping." I laughed loudly. "You're taking me shopping?" "And me!" I looked up to see Tom emerging from the bathroom. I looked at Nathan and he just smiled wide.

"Why are you taking me out?" I asked them as we started walking to the shops. "Your birthday is tomorrow and we can't make it so we're buying you a present." Nathan explained. "I don't want anything." I protested, turning and walking the other way. Tom grabbed me by the arm, ripping my bandage a bit in the process. I quickly took my arm back and he looked at me. "I'm so sorry. Did I hurt you?" "Yes! Now take me home." "But Reagan-" "No, I wanna go home Nathan."

Tom

I watched as Nathan walked with Regan down the street back to her aunt's. I've done nothing but screw up with her. The smallest things got her upset. She was so shy...Reagan was a cute girl but I could tell she was hiding something from all of us.

Nathan

"Okay," I said, shutting the door and turning to Reagan. "What's going on?" "Nothing." she muttered, looking at her wrist. My eyes trailed from her face to her arm, noticing a bandage around her wrist. "What's that?" I slowly walked over and sat next to her on her bed. Reagan didn't look at me as I slowly unwrapped the bandage revealing something I wasn't ready for. Fresh cuts, healing ones, and many scars. I looked at Regan and she still didn't look at me. "Reagan...what happened?" "Nothing. Why do you care?" she snapped, taking her arm back and re-wrapping it. "You're my girlfriend's cousin. I see my little sister, Jess, when I look at you. I don't like seeing Jess hurt and I don't like seeing you hurt." I explained, putting a hand on her shoulder. Reagan looked at me and sighed. "Thanks Nathan." I pulled her against my chest and hugged her.

On my way back to my flat, Tom asked me to stop for a cuppa. When I met him at Starbucks, he didn't seem himself. "What's up?" I asked him once we sat down. "What's with Reagan?" I raised an eyebrow and sat back in my chair. "Um...what do you mean?" "Why is she so quiet?" I tapped my fingers on the table top and took a breath. I knew why, but I couldn't tell him. I couldn't betray Reagan like that. "She's just shy." I answered, sipping my coffee. "Invite her to our gig tomorrow." Tom suggested. "On her birthday?" Tom nodded with a smile. I knew he had something up his sleeve. "Okay," I relied, taking out my phone and texting her.

"She's invited. Happy?" I asked, looking at Tom. "Very." he replied with a small smile.
