The next morning, I woke up to a big breakfast spread on the table. "Happy birthday, Reagan!" my aunt shouted, kissing me on the head. "Thanks aunt Anne." "Sophie told me your're going to The Wanted's show tonight! So, birthday breakfast." I smiled as I sat down at the table, observing all of the food in front of me. My stomach ached just looking at all of it. "Um, where's Sophie?" I asked, finally picking up a chocolate chip muffin. "She went out with Nathan. And Reagan," I looked at her, popping a piece of the muffin into my mouth. "Siva's girlfriend Nareesha is going to take you shopping for an outfit  for tonight." "Okay..." I mumbled, taking another bite of my muffin.

Nareesha came and picked me up at around 12 to go shopping. "Happy birthday! Consider this mine and Siva's present to you." Nareesha said as we walked into a boutique. "Thank you, so much." I said with a smile. "So what do you have in mind?" she asked, looking through the racks of clothes. I shrugged, looking around. "I've never really gotten dressed up pretty like this." "Why not?" "I don't know. I never had a special occasion like this." "Well, we're gonna make you look flawless tonight!"

We went through tons of outfits before I stepped out in one that made Nareesha go silent. "You look amazing!" "Really?" I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I've never felt pretty before. I heard Nareesha say something, but I ignored it. I just kept smiling at myself in the mirror.

Tom

"Hey TomTom." I opened my eyes to see Nathan looking at me. "What?" I laughed. "Are you excited to see Reagan?" he asked, making a kissy face. "Maybe..." "You like her! I knew it." "So what?" I pushed Nathan away from me and folded my arms across my chest. "It's not like I can date her. Like she'd even want to date me." "You never know, Tom..." Nathan said before leaving. He knows something I don't know.

Reagan

"So what do you think of the boys?" Nareesha asked as we sat down for coffee. "They're nice." I replied with a small smile. "What do you think of Tom?" I looked at her, caught a bit off guard. "W-what do you mean?" "What do you think of him?" she asked again. "H-he's nice...I guess...he has pretty eyes...I mean, I'd love to get to know him." I said quietly. "Good, because he has a thing for you too." Nareesha chimed in. "Wait what? Isn't he like 23?" "And you're 18? so?" I looked down as a million things raced through my mind. One of them being why would he like me? Why would anyone like me?

When I got to The Wanted's show that night, I was really excited. I've never been to a concert before. They sounded so great live and they were just a fun time on stage. After the show, someone from security led me backstage and to a room where everyone was. As soon as I walked in, I was attacked with a big hug from Nathan. "Happy birthday Reagan!" I laughed as I hugged him back. "Thanks Nathan!" His arm fell to around my shoulders and he walked me over to a little table and on top of it sat a large cake that said "Happy 18th Birthday Reagan" and what I'm assuming to be their signatures in piping gel. I smiled and gave Nathan a hug. "This was so nice, thank you."

Sophie quickly pulled Nathan away from me, then we all started eating cake. Jealousy does not look good on her. I sat on the couch with the little plate of cake in my hands just as Tom sat next to me. "Happy birthday, Reagan." I looked at him and smiled a bit. "Thank you." we sat there, not speaking to each other. I wanted to bring up what Nareesha was asking me earlier, but I felt like he didn't know she told me. I looked at the plate in my hands and dipped my finger in the purple frosting, then wiped it on Tom's face.

Tom soon returned the favor by taking the rest of his cake and shoving it in my face. Soon, everyone broke out into a cake fight. More cake was being thrown than eaten. I kept looking over at Nathan and Sophie, being all couple-y...sharing kisses in the middle of everything. I slowly walked out of the room and stood out in the hallway. I wanted a relationship. I didn't like seeing Sophie and Nathan being all cute knowing I'll never get that.

"Reagan? Are you okay?" I looked over to see Tom walking towards me. "Um, yeah. I'm fine." I muttered, wiping my tears with the back of my hand. "No you're not...what's wrong?" "Sophie and Nathan, that's what's wrong." I replied, leaning against the wall. "Why? What did they do?" he asked, moving closer to me. "Them being all couple-y and shit...I doin't like it. I want a relationship and I can't have one." "Why do you say that?" Tom sounded like he actually cared. "Because Tom...I'm so fucked up that I don't trust anyone. I can't hold a relationship to save my life! I just want to be happy." I was crying at this point. Tom didn't say anything. His hands cradled my face, his thumb gently rubbing my nose. His eyes met mine and he smiled a little before pressing his lips to mine
