——

Hizashi and other co-workers were delighted by his presence, giving him treats and spoiling him rotten. It was.. Fairly annoying to see grown ups fawning over children.
Aizawa admits, that even he, himself is hypocritical to say that.

Shouta pulled him away the moment the first bell rung, which means Iida has already sorted the class out with his chopping hand separating students with people they were conversing with.

The students were probably waiting inside now: Shouta picturing their faces expectantly looking towards the door with their guard up. Considering that every day can be a fucking surprise, Shouta wondered that if a villain walked in; his class won't be shocked and just take them down right then and there.

Izuku finally looked up at him, big, moss green eyes connecting with his. Shouta saw the fire beneath them, burning brightly enough to scald him. Determination flashed on his features as he gave a nod.

Shouta couldn't help himself; he ruffled his soft curled hair, messing it around as he gave a throaty chuckle of amusement. The kid would make a fine hero someday.

(Aizawa wonders if he will still be around to teach him.)

"Ready kid?"

"Y-Yes Aizawa-Senpai!"

He pushed the door open, being greeted by his student's dying down chatter.
Shouta took his usual position in front, the class bowing to greet him as they settled down in their respective positions. Instead of the chattering resuming like usual, the classroom was dead quiet. Aizawa noticed every pair of eyes on Izuku, bewilderment, curiosity, and caution in their eyes as they started murmuring between themselves.
With the atmosphere tense, Shouta was about to speak; to somehow explain, but not before that hardening
kid- Kirishima?- stood up from his desk, palms banging on the wooden furniture as his chair squeaked back.
Excitement sparked in his eyes as he eyed Izuku; who stayed rooted to the spot, admiration and curiosity replacing his fear of social interactions.

"AIZAWA-SENSEI!," He yelled, vaguely reminding him of Hizashi. He cringed at the thought. "IS THAT A KID!?"

"What is a kid doing here, Sensei?"

"It is very impolite to yell, Kirishima. Let the teacher explain. Surely he-"

"Waaahhh! He's so cute!"

"Oi! Shut the FUCK up!"

A loud boom made the uproar skid to a stop just as quick as it happened, The blond kid having an irritated and fed up look on his features, scowl deepening to the point Shouta isn't sure if he could even sink his face that deep.
He had let loose a stray explosion from his palm, enough to form rising smoke from his hands. The sweet smell of nitroglycerin made the whole class hesitantly fix themselves.

Izuku looked at the blond boy in interest, not being deterred by the waves of anger rolling off of the fifteen year old as he was met with two, ruby red slits.
It may be Shouta's imagination, but the Bakugou kid's expression softened ever so slightly when he saw Izuku. Nevertheless, it didn't stop him from gritting his teeth and glaring sharply at Izuku when he caught his gaze. "Hell you want, goddamn green gremlin," he spat, cocking an eyebrow as he folded his arms on his chest tightly.
His voice, though, held no malice which only Iida and Shouta seemed to notice.

The rest of the class gasped as if they were burned.

"Bakugou! That was uncalled for!"

"It's a kid, dude. Chill."

"He's so cute!"

Izuku looked at Shouta; who had the usual impatient scowl on his face, almost matching Bakugou's.

"Quiet down and allow me to explain."

He side glanced the explosive kid, nodding in a bit of a "thank you" gesture for shutting the class up. Gesturing to Izuku, he said, "This kid was rescued from a burning building. It was the orphanage about mile away."

Everyone's face showed immediate pity. Shouta felt a twinge of.. He doesn't know. But seeing his class getting all "cooey" and soft around a child they barely even met a minute ago made him think.
Children were usually the victims of the League, seeing how people react to them. A somewhat common weakness among heroes. They carried out light missions; planting bombs, spying, etc. some even go as far as luring Heroes and such into alley ways, where they immediately get ambushed by older villains. They were.. Baits. disposables to the villains.
Shouta subconsciously clenched his fist around the desk. It really shows how vile the League is.

"Waaaaahhh! Look at him!," Aizawa's attention snapped at Ashido. "He's so small!" She proceeded to beckon him over, which he complied to quickly as she pet his fluffy hair.
The girl beside her; Tsuyu, released a croak as she nodded in agreement. "Kero."

The rest of the class snickered in enthusiastic agreement as they crowded the poor boy, getting up from their chairs and momentarily forgetting that Shouta was literally right in front of the class.
A look of confusion crossed Izuku's face as the crowd closed on him, no longer visible in a sea of uniforms.

Aizawa clicked his tongue.

"Straighten up. All of you. I'll make you run extra laps later."

"AIZAWA-SENSEI!!"

"Anyway. Do you want to go to the field trip or not? Line up. The heroes will be meeting us there."

Eyes widen; a moment of stunned silence as realization dawned on his students.
Shouta grunted, the edge of his mouth twitching.

Have they really forgotten their field trip? Maybe having Izuku here was going to be harder than he thought. No matter. What's done is done.

Shaking his head, he vaguely gestured his arm at the door, signaling Iida to take the lead from here.
Iida stuttered, kicking himself up from his seat as he hurriedly took his place in front of the class.

Iida clears his throat, a distracted look on his face as he made his iconic chopping movements. (Aizawa predicts that one of these days; he'll break his wrist if he continued doing that.)

"LINE UP. WE WILL BE GOING IN A FEW MINUTES! SHORTEST TO TALLEST."

The students made a bee-line for the door, hastily organizing themselves. Hagakure led the kid by the hand; vague interest on Izuku's face as he stared at her invisible parts.
The others stopped fussing over Izuku; but still looked at him with fond expressions.

Shouta caught Bakugou rolling his eyes, looking away to busy his gaze on the suddenly interesting door.

"Aizawa-Sensei!"

Hagakure bowed before letting Izuku go, his arm limply falling to his side as she hurried away. She was giddy: from the way she walked back in line; just behind of Uraraka.

"Aizawa-Senpai!"

"What is it, problem child?"

Ochaco caught his nickname for Izuku; eyes widening in surprise at the "mean" nickname. Izuku didn't seem to mind as he took Shouta's hand without hesitance.
Shouta almost flinched, before he felt Izuku's warm hand tighten around his palm, refusing to let him go. He stubbornly looked up; renewed determination on his face.

"I wanna hold hands Shouta-Senpai!"

The usage of his first name "shockingly" didn't bother him as much as when the demon inhabiting Izuku's body said it.
Nevertheless, he felt slightly flustered.

His students were looking at him quizzically, before grins materialized on their faces in an almost teasing manner. Feeling his insides deflate with dread like a popped balloon, he sighed.

He wasn't getting paid enough for this.
