I have truly lost faith in this genertation. Rape is NOT a laughing matter, it is nothing to be made fun of. For those of you who may not know there was a girl who's rape went viral, her rapist is still not in jail and people continue to mock her hurt. I am so sick to my stomach. I am surronded by, three year olds because this generation never takes anything seriously. Everything is a laughing matter. I am tired of being afraid of making a man upset,. I am tired of having to cover my body because it may prevoke a man or he may be "distracted". 1 in 6 women will sexual assualted or raped. That is a scary thought. I know one thing for sure, I have never come across a young man who has heard the following....
- Never leave your drink unattened
- If you order a drink, watch the person make it
- Always travel in groups of 2 or more
There is so much more, what happened to protecting women? what happened? I am so infuriated. I hate that I can't even tell a man to leave me alone, or even the excuse that I AM 16 years old is enough. Or even if I have a boyfriend, the best thing for me to do is give a strange man a fake number so I don't get hurt. Why? I just wanna know why? but with all of this in mind I know one thing. I fear for the future, and I know exactly what I have to tell my children. If I even want to bring kids into this messed up world....
This generation needs to grow up, seriously
