"Ohmigosh! Spirit, the new routine you came up with is amazing!" Lucille said jumping giddily.

"Thank you! It just came to me in my sleep." I said giving her a hug. Lucille has been my best friend since Kindergarten. She makes everything seem more exciting than it actually is. "Okay, everyone hit the showers, practice is done for the day!" I said.

Everyone cheered and ran into the locker rooms, leaving me alone in the gym. I sighed, unsure of what to do next. I decided to do what any girl would do with the gym all to herself, I popped in my special CD with DANCE, SPIRIT, DANCE!! as the title, and started doing the dance I created. I've been a dancer since I was three, and it's basically I know. I became dance team captain, because I worked my ass off and my abilities as a leader and a dancer.

Lost in thought as I danced across the gym floor, focusing to the beat of the music, I heard a noise from behind me. I stopped mid-turn, and looked behind my shoulder. There stood a man, leaning against the gym wall by the door, with a grin plastered on his handsome face. I turned abruptly to face him, and crossed my arms against my chest.

"First of all, who the hell are you, and second of all, how did you get in here? All of the doors are locked." I said, giving him my challenging stare, which only made him grin bigger.

"Spirit Ruby Gemini. You are really easy to track down. So breathtaking when... focused. Tell me, do you do this after every practice?" He asked, as he crossed the gym to stand directly in front of me. He stared down at me. His aqua blue eyes gazing right into my light brown eyes. His hair was a pale blonde, and he towered over me by a lot. His mouth still in a grin, his jawline strong and accentuated.

"How do you know my name, and what the hell do you want?" I hissed. His laugh came out loud and seemed to echo the gym. His voice now low and husky.

"You'll know soon enough. But for now..." He said trailing off, as he grabbed my arm. Pain entered my arm, which cause my whole body to burn. "You are one of us now. If you do not choose to except within twenty-four hours, you will die." He said holding my gaze hard. He let go, began to walk away.

"What the hell did you do to me?!" I asked looking down at the aqua blue mark glowing back at me, which felt like a tiny fire on my arm. "What do you mean I die within twenty-four hours?! What are you?" I shrieked, sinking to my knees as I began to sob, clutching my arm.

"I'll be back in twelve hours for your answer." He said, looking back. I blinked, and he vanished before my eyes.

I walked toward my car cautiously, after what had been the worst day of my life. The morning had filled the rest of my day with anxiety, and panic. The night sky was fully lite with stars, and a full moon right in the middle. For a moment, I stood there gazing up at the stars, wishing, wanting, nothing more than to touch one precious star. I felt fingertips touch my shoulder lightly.

"What the hell?!" I shouted, as I whipped around only to find my boyfriend behind me.

"Spir, it's just me. Are you ok? You've been acting weird all day... and I'm worried." He said, showing me a worried look, making him even more handsome. Liam Ruthford, the hottest guy in high school, and the quarterback of the football team. His brown eyes gazing back at mine. His dark brown hair glowing in the moonlight. I gave a little nod.

"I-I-I-I'm fine.... I just don't feel very good is all." I lied, giving him a weak smile. He kissed the top of my head.

"Ok, Spi. Go home and get some sleep, ok?" He said, kissing me lightly on my lips. "I'll call you in the morning." He added, pulling me into a hug. He let go, gave me one last kiss, and walked to his car.
