This is my first time posting a story of mine on Wattpad, so I hope you like it! The cover was made by myself, but I found the actual picture on the internet, so the rights go to it's original owner. The song lyrics mentioned in this chapter are from "If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn" by Sleeping With Sirens and "King For A Day" by Pierce The Veil (2 amazing bands by the way). Enjoy!

Chapter 1

His hand reaches down to grasp mine as his sweet voice sings to me. His deep gray-blue eyes stare down into mine as his mouth forms the words of his beautifully meaningful lyrics.

“They say that love is forever. Your forever is all that I need,” he serenades me, his eyes fixated solely on me with my hand now magically trapped in his. He kneels down at the end of the stage, microphone still pressed against his lips.

“Please stay as long as you need.” I sing along with him, hearing the perfect harmony of only our two voices even in the massive crowd of thousands.

I savor the moment, taking in every possible detail. From the many woven, handmade bracelets around his wrist to the dampness of his long, black hair gleaming as the sun beams down upon the crowd. Even when he is sweaty as hell, Kellin Quinn is still as attractive as ever with his skin tight, orange Bermudas and dark gray Anthem t-shirt.

My hand still in his, he smoothly slides off the stage. The sturdy metal gates separating us only moments ago disappear as do the bulky security guards that were just holding back screaming fans, myself included. He stands so closely in front of me that I can feel his breath mixing with mine as he continues to sing.

“Can’t promise that things won’t be broken, but I swear that I will never leave.” My pulse beats erratically as my heart pounds heavily in my chest, threatening to explode at the drop of a pin.

His eyes pour into mine as if looking inside me, searching around amongst my secrets and innermost thoughts. I feel my knees buckle under me, weakening because of the presence of such a gorgeous and iconic band member, but he is right there to support me before I fall.

“Get up,” a female voice demands, interrupting Kellin and I’s more than magnificent moment. I begin to feel him fade away to nothing and I am left reaching at the space of air where he just stood in front of me seconds before. A stare stupidly, my mouth slightly gaping open. He just…vanished?

A hard, unforgiving shove awakens me from my lovely dream, granting a not-so-happy grunt to escape my lips. I slowly open my eyes after rubbing them roughly with the backs of my hands, most definitely smearing the caked on makeup from the previous night.

I am greeted with the sight of my best friend Tammy sitting on the edge of my messy queen-sized bed.

“Who the hell let you in this early?” I ask bleakly, glancing at the digital clock set atop of the table beside my bed along with my cell phone and clutch.

“I crashed here last night, stupid,” she replies with a playful harshness in her voice. “You refused to drive me home, though I only live a block away.” I sit up reluctantly, throwing my blue and black striped covers to the side of me, revealing my now wrinkled, red dress still snugly covering my body.

“Wow, I must have been extremely tired,” I laugh, rubbing my disheveled hair. Tam lets out an amused chuckle, probably because of the horrible sight of me in the morning. I merely cast her a glare as I get up to change out of my party dress and into something more comfortable.

Walking into my closet, I close the shutter-like doors behind me and quickly change into a pair of pink yoga shorts and a black tank top. I open up the door and find Tammy scrolling through a continuous list of songs my iPod that is now resting in my fancy, new dock that I purchased just last week. A satisfied grin appears on her face as the all-too-familiar sound starts playing through the built-in speakers. Just before Vic Fuentes starts screaming his lungs out, she turns to face me with a serious expression on her face.

“Dare me to jump off this Jersey bridge!” she attempts to scream, her voice coming out low and raspy but still needing some work. Tammy jumps up on my bed, cell phone in hand being used as a microphone. Bending over, she begins to head bang, her now raven black hair swishing up and down fluidly. I pick up at Kellin’s part.

“I bet you never had a Friday night like this!” I holler back, my voice cracking mid-sentence and making the word had come out high and squeaky. My cheeks become flushed as I bite back an embarrassed laugh. Tammy abruptly stops and turns to face me. I act as though I don’t see her, figuring she is just going to make fun of me, and continue lip-syncing the words using my very own makeshift microphone, also known as my hairbrush.

“Dude,” she states matter-of-factly, as if she just had one of those “ah-ha” moments. She plops down on my bed, bouncing back up slightly, than hurriedly slides off to pause the song in order for me to be able to hear her better. Her chocolate brown eyes bore into mine before they light up like the drop of a dime in the shining sunlight. A giddy smile crawls onto her lips as she begins to prance around my colorful room like an idiot, though nothing new; my friends and I act like this all of the time. I stand there, hands now firmly on my hips, head cocked to the side as I wonder what is running through her little mind.

“Fill me in, yeah?” I laugh, shaking my head.

“Today’s the first of July!” she squeals. My mood is instantly lifted as her words quickly sink in. An obnoxiously big smile stakes claim over my lips as an excited shriek escapes my mouth.

Almost like we are reading each other’s minds, we both dart towards the door, jumping over the stray articles of clothing strewn around my room. Her and I both reach for my shiny, brass door knob at the same time, resulting in us colliding and stumbling to either side.

“I’ll go first,” I conclude. I extend my arm out and open the door.

“Good idea,” I hear her laugh behind me.

“Ashlyn!” My brother calls from downstairs. “There is something here for you in the mail!”

I stop dead in my tracks and I glance back at Tammy, acknowledging our uncontrollable excitement. The same stupid smile on our faces, we dash down the stairs, nearly tripping over our own feet. I reach the last step and jump up, heavily landing on the floor with my arms spread wide apart.

“And she sticks the landing!” I boast, taking a bow to please the screaming, imaginary crowd in front of me. I let out a childish giggle, but hear a worried gasp come from behind me.

“Ash!” Tammy screeches. Next thing I know, I feel a pair of hands land on my shoulder blades, shoving me forwards towards the coat rack looming mischievously next to the front door. I merely stumble at first, almost successfully attempting to regain my balance. But my effort fails miserably as I fall completely, knocking down the metal stand, earning a very amused laugh from my brother watching as multiple coats topple over me. The coat stand collides with the floor in a loud clang that echoes through the main foyer.

Now sprawled across the wooden floor at the base of my stairs, covered in jackets and a growing pain starting in my left knee, I push myself up off the ground and glance behind me. Tammy, also laying on the floor, gives me a huge apologetic smile.

“You two are beyond stupid, I swear,” Zander scoffs, flinging a crisp white envelope at me. I scurry to pick it up as it falls lightly to the floor. Tammy quickly scoots over to my side. I let out a shaky breath, trying to compose my frazzled self as I run my trembling fingers over the clean paper.

“Well!” Tam shrieks into my ear. My head snaps towards her, my eyebrow raised and my lips pursed. “Sorry,” she mumbles.

“Would you open it already?” I look up to see Zander still standing by us in his pinstripe pajama pants and Led Zeppelin t-shirt, brown hair a total mess and his coffee in hand. He rolls his eyes and lets out his signature, irritated sigh after I stick my tongue out at him. “You’re so childish.”

“Whatever,” I retort. I return my attention to the envelope being somewhat crinkled due to my overly powerful death grip on it.

With my brother glaring at me impatiently and Tammy breathing down my neck, I slide my finger under the flap sealing the envelope. Shaky fingers softly pinch the tip of the folded-up paper, slowly pulling it out to be cautious. Tammy squeaks excitedly as I unfold the normal looking paper. My eyes widen in a mixture of emotions as I skim over the confusing words on the page.

“What the…”
