Dedicated to Phoenixbird for being an awesome friend. Hope all is well with the summer camp issue.
The members of my family are idiots. They do the ritual practiced on every single soap opera I've suffered through: mom cries and gushes about how It will be ok, even though it won't be, while dad holds her hand and comforts her in that mushy parent way. And Peter is, well, Peter. Non-committal, dark, and obviously in need of some major anger management sessions.
Mom and dad are convinced that I'm the one on need of counseling, not him.
Tomorrow I go home.
Goody.
A/N: Most chapters are going to be super short like this one because I want the story to have a sense of dislocation and such.
