The school was as lively as ever. Students making there way to class, some lingering in the halls, others finding their way to their group of friends buzzing about. Some of the laughing. Others just quietly watching. I, on the other hand never had the pleasure of doing any of this. I was always seen as the "bad boy" of the school. Although, I'm a girl and it's not one of those "ooh look the bad boys coming over here~~" kind of things. No. Not at all. Look at me wrong and you end up at the nurse while I end up running from the cops. Not a very pretty site.

The tardy bell rang as students scurried to their classes making their way out of my path.

Before anyone asks, no I didn't choose this life. I never wanted this life. I was happy with my mother and... sometimes my father. But after everything that happened, I don't think I can ever live a peaceful life. It just seemed impossible.

I've tried to change, and it only ends in violence. It doesn't work. Trusting people doesn't work.

"Hyeon, you better hurry to class before you get another detention." A teacher passed me in the hall.

I rolled my eyes and opened the door to my classroom and made my way to my seat.

"Good morning class and how is everyone today?" Ms. Kee's peppy voice popped out.

"Good." The class chanted in a monotone.

"Good! Good, well, I have some exciting news to tell you all; we have a new student here with us today!" She went towards the door, ushering the kid into the classroom. "Go on! Don't be shy!"

He walked in, neatly dressed, he uniform was cleaner then I have ever seen.

"Hello, my name is Kim Namjoon. It is nice to meet all of you!" He smiled.

"Thank you Namjoon. Ah.. you can go sit with," she paused and looked around the room, then made eye contact with me, "You can go sit next to Chai Hyeon." She smiled as she pointed to the empty seat next to me.

I scoffed. Damn teacher. I sat up only to slouch over my desk.

Namjoon smiled as he headed my way. But as he walked towards me, he had tripped, broken his glasses, broke someone's pencil holder, and tripped again.

"It's okay guys! I'm good! And I'll buy you another pencil holder, just wait until I get my pay check okay?" He smiled.
He bent over to grab his glasses. I smirked at him. This guy is a total clutz! He breaks everything!

"Ah, Hello..umm..." He trailed off.
"Did you already forget my name?" I laughed, "It's Chai Hyeon."

He smiled with his dimples showing. Then the bell rang.

"Okay, class! Please pull out your English work!" Ms. Kee said.

"Ah.. Man. I can't see without my glasses." He mumbled to himself.

"Really? You're that blind dude?" I laughed.

"Hey, you have no room to talk, you're wearing glasses too.." He whispered.

I took his glasses from his hands and taped his glasses together. "Here, now stop crying."

He took the glasses and mouthed thank you.

"Ohh, the new boy is pretty hot. Aside from him being clumsy, we could make a cute couple~" One of the girls sitting next to me bubbled.
They talked about Namjoon like he was some sort of toy. Ugh, I hate these girls.

Namjoon poked my shoulder "Do you have the English work? I'd like to look at it." He asked.

I smirked at Namjoon, "Are you sure you'll be able to handle it? It's pretty advanced."
He looked like he was day dreaming "Well, I'm pretty fluent in English myself." He spoke in English, and straighten up, proud of himself.

"Trying to impress me, huh?" I slid the homework over to him, "I grew up speaking English, so try harder next time."

The class had worked quietly for quite some time, Namjoon studying my work closely.

"Hey.. is this like a song that you wrote?" He asked.

"What? What I wrote one the paper? Oh well.. I guess. Sort of." I sighed as I continued on my assignment in front of me.

"Have you ever.. considered making your own music? Because this is really good... like wow..." He complimented.

"No. Never thought about it, and I don't think I will. What I write is private. You lucky I let you see it. Tell anyone and I'll kill you. Got it?" I snapped while taking the paper back.

"Alright jeez, no need to get fisty over the paper, it was just a compliment.. sorry..." He mumbled.

I dropped my pencil on my desk and turned to Namjoon, "Look, I don't know if you noticed, but the entire class sort of hates me and so does the entire school. So if you could kindly go sit with the girls who keep giving you bed eyes that would be greatly appreciated. I don't do well with people in case you  haven't noticed already. Thanks."

"Challenge accepted."

"What?"

"Challenge accepted. Trust me, well become best friends, infact I'll have you swooning over me next." He winked.

The bell rang and I gathered my stuff quickly.

"In your dreams, pretty boy." I said as I left the loud classroom.
