Ruined Surprise

The Confession

Beca and Chloe got into Beca's room and shut the door behind them.  Beca was ready to have a very important conversation and she didn't want any of the other Bellas listening in on it.  Chloe sat on the bed, but Beca wasn't comfortable sitting with her so she continued awkwardly standing there.  Chloe can't hold back anymore,

"Why don't you want to be around me anymore?"

"Of course I want to be around you Chlo, things are just easier said than done."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"I just don't want anyone doing anything they might end up regretting.  And I'm scared that if I hang out with you that I might end up doing something I'll regret."

"Like what?"

"Like telling you how I feel."

Neither noticed that as they talked, Beca had come to sit on the edge of the bed next to Chloe.  She continued to lean closer to the older girl as she spoke.  Chloe then looked down at her lips, tempted to go for what she really wanted, but she couldn't.  Chloe has to know what Beca meant, how she felt.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I'm in love with you Chlo, I always have been.  But I know you want him and that's okay, all I want is for you to be happy."

Suddenly, it hit Chloe.  All the things Chicago claimed to do for her, she knew who had really done them.  After all, who else knows how to make a romantic mix like that.  Who else knows about Chloe's love for forts, as childish as it sounded.  Who else knew Chloe liked chicken pesto pasta because she was allergic to tomato sauce.  Who else knew the candles with the lavender scent were her favorite.  Or that Aubrey was her best chance at getting her out of her room for the whole day.  Chicago didn't know any of that, in fact, most of her friends didn't know any of that.  It was just Beca, Beca knew everything about her.

Chloe felt a surge of love run through her veins and she couldn't hold back any longer.  She instantly connected her lips to the other girl's.  Beca had been surprised, but soon wrapped her head around what was going on.  Beca pulled her closer, craving all of the fiery red head.  The girls had to pull apart for air eventually and Beca's lips found her way to Chloe's neck.  She began to suck on her pulse point, which caused Chloe to moan.  All of a sudden, Chloe pulled back, clearly needing to say something.

"I love you too, and I know.  I know it was you. "

Chloe didn't have to ask why she let him take credit for it, she already knew.  The girls shared another kiss, this time much slower and more intimate.  The two girls ended up laying on Beca's bed, cuddling for a few hours.  Beca was sound asleep with Chloe in her arms.  Chloe however couldn't get to sleep, she was now worried about something completely different.  She knew she had to tell Chicago about this, and sooner rather than later.  Chloe slowly untangled herself from Beca and quietly exited the room.  She headed back to her room, preparing to have another difficult conversation.
