Legend
(F/G) = Favorite Game
(Y/N)'s POV
I can't believe today is the day that the Spring Festival is starting. There I would play some games, go on rides, explore the cherry blossom garden, and watch fireworks at night! And...today will be the day I take my crush Chun-Li to the festival. It was good thing that today is her day off from work as an investigator. But the one thing that bothers me most of all is that I want to tell her how I feel about her but I don't want to risk losing our friendship. Maybe the fireworks show will help. I check the time and see that I am 2 hours away from walking to Chun-Li's house to take her to the festival. So in the mean time, I am gonna go get something to eat and get ready.
Chun-Li's POV
I pace around my living room with my best friend, Cammy watching on the couch, not wanting to believe that I am going to the Spring Festival with (Y/N)!! "I don't know what to do, Cammy! I don't know whether to tell him there or if I should wait for another day..." Cammy clears her throat. "My first suggestion is to have a seat and chill out." She said to me before I sit down next to her. "Now," She continued, "We have been over this for how long?" I shyly looked down at my feet. "A-A couple of months?" I answered. Cammy nods. "Exactly. I think you should just tell him your feelings now before this weight on you gets heavier. What's the worse that can happen anyway?" I look at her with a frown. "He'll probably not want to be around me!" Cammy sighs and shakes her head. "No...I have seen him and he is never that guy. The worst that can happen is that he will say no. Understand?" She place her hand on my shoulder and I nod. She smiles and pull me in for a hug, which I hug back. "You'll be ok. I promise that it'll all work out." She said to me, which made me feel better. "Thank you...really." I said to her. She laughed a bit. "You don't need to." I look over at the time and I have an hour to get ready. "I should probably get dressed." She nods and lets go of me. "I'll be here when you need anything." She said then watches the television. I get up from the couch and begin to get myself ready to go.
(Y/N)'s POV
After an hour and 50 passed, I left my house and walked over to Chun-Li's house which is not far from where I live. Plus, the festival is also not too far from where we are. After about 8 minutes of walking, I finally found myself in front of her door. I ring the doorbell and waited for the door to open. The door finally opens and I see Chun-Li wearing the outfit I always love! (Basically her outfit in the image above but remove the cuffs). My face starts to get red and I must've stared at her a while. Chun-Li looked away shyly and rubbed her arm. "I-Is this not a good look?" She asked me. After staring her and finally getting back to reality, I shake my head and smile. "No, you're perfectly alright." I said. She nods and stepped towards me. "Well, shall we get going?" I nod and begin walking with her to the festival. Once we got there, I was surprised by how many people showed up and I'm pretty sure she is too. "So um...anything you like to do first?" I ask before looking over. Chun-Li shrugs then says "Well...we could play those games where you punch a boxing bag to test your strength. I guess that if you reach a specific range, you can earn a prize depending on your score." I think about it before nodding. "If you want to." I take her over to the game area where we found what she mentioned. I decided to go first then punched the boxing bag. I look at the score and I scored 120. I asked the guy at the counter what it meant and he told me that it means that I got a low score, which means I didn't get a prize. I sighed and look down.
Chun-Li's POV
After seeing (Y/N) feeling down after what happened, I thought I should cheer him up. "Step back, (Y/N)." I told him. I stand in front of the bag then I kick it hard to the point it came right off. I look at the score and it seemed that I got a score of 9000. I look at the guy and place my hands on my hips. "Well? What does my score say?" I said in my intimidating voice I use when I interrogate criminals. The guy, looking really scared, says that I can pick two large prizes. I picked out a plushie of Mega Man for me and a plushie of a character from (F/G) for him, since he loves the game so much. His face seemed a bit a mix of shock from my action and somewhat red after I just given him his plushie. "T-Thank you." He managed to say. I smile and tilt my head at him. "You are welcome, (Y/N)."
4 Hours Later
(Y/N)'s POV
This day could not have been better. Me and Chun-Li won most at the games here, mainly from Chun-Li's kicks. It was still fun otherwise. I looked at the time on my phone and notice that the fireworks show is about to begin. I look at Chun-Li. "We should probably look for a good spot." I said as I begin to look around the area. We found a spot by a pond and stood up. We both look at the sky before I look at her. "Hey um..." My face starts heating up. "I-I have something that I want to tell you." Chun-Li looks at me. "I-I have something to say as well." She said to me. I rub my neck. "You can start." I offered. She shakes her head. "N-No you can. You started the talk." I nod and looked away for a second, just to get myself ready. I look back, my face beet red. "I-I LIKE Y-" Before I could get a chance to finish, she kicked my face. I fall on my back with a bruise on my right cheek. "Y-You idiot! I knew I should've started!" She yelled, but in a shy way. I sit up rubbing my bruise as I see Chun-Li kneeling down with a soft smile. "But...I like you too." Then she kiss my right cheek, making the pain slightly better. And I guess it made it better because the fireworks went off when she did. "I-I have to say...I am glad that I took you to this festival." I told her. She giggled and sat next me, with her hand on mine. "I am glad as well." She places her head on my shoulder and watch the fireworks with me. And for the rest of the night, we just spent the majority of our time just....being together.
(WOW! Took me a while to type all this up! This is officially the first short love story I made ever. I hope you enjoyed that!)
