Cammy: The Fight Against Vega

(Y/N)'s POV

After many attempts of training with my friend,Cammy after she told me to get ready for a mission later today, we both decide to take a break before we continue. I sit on a bench taking off my gloves before drinking water. I look over at Cammy. "So...you never mentioned what mission we are doing. What is it we are up against?" I asked. Cammy sits next to me and wiped her face with a towel. "Do you remember that I was brainwashed by Bison?" She asked me. "And how we destroyed the entirety of the Shadaloo base?" I nod, starting to remember the time when me and her were actually a part of M. Bison's evil henchmen group. We were forced to take part in things that I never want to remember ever. "Y-Yeah. But what about it?" Cammy rubs her neck and sighed. "Well...Vega is here. And he may still be working for Bison to possibly attack this city." Cammy said. After that she mentioned Vega, I start feeling nothing but rage. Around the time when different fighters that are our allies now helped free me and others from the brainwashing, Vega, who was obsessed with her beauty, attacked Cammy and was close to killing her. And I am really close to Cammy but when I saw him ready to kill her, I lost it. The memory fades when Cammy waves her hand in front of my face. "(Y/N)? Are you ok?" I look over at her and slowly nodded. "Y-Yeah...I am ok. But I don't think I could do this." Cammy looks away and thinks about something. "Ok...how about this? If you partake in this and the mission were to succeed, I'll do anything." She said it somewhat nervously though as if I was gonna request something stupid. "Anything?" I repeated. She nods. "Anything." I look away and begin to think. "Ok...if I make this mission successful, would you go on a date with me?" I requested. Cammy blushed slightly and opened her mouth ever so slightly. "I-Is that a joke?" She asks. I shake my head shyly. "T-This is no joke. I actually want to take you on a date." Cammy looks away feeling really shy. "Alright...I will agree to this." I tilt my head and notice that she may be smiling but I'm not too sure. "Anyway, we should get ready." She said to me. I get up and look at her. "I'll meet you at the garage then." I said then walked off to the garage where our jeep is and waited there.

30 Minutes Later

After travelling around the city looking for the recent location of Vega, we finally found ourselves at an abandoned warehouse at the lower levels of the city. I park the jeep and shut it off. We got out of the jeep then wondered in the warehouse, but so far, we found nothing. Not even a trace of Vega being here. I look over at Cammy and shake my head. "I found nothing." I said to her. She was about to say something but then someone dropped from the ceiling and kicked her at the back of her head, knocking her out. The figure looks up at me and chuckled. "It's been a while...(Y/N)." He said to me. After that, I recognize his voice and the mask was so familiar. "Vega..." Without thinking, I rush at him to punch him in the stomach but he swiftly dodged and roundhouse kicked my face. I fall back but quickly got up and managed to kick his sides a couple of times before he caught my leg and flipped me over. Vega hovered over me and had his claws pressed against my neck. "You know...I could kill you here...and take Cammy with me. Ah...such beauty that thing. Imagine all the things that I would do to her." He laughs hysterically and that made me angry. I will not let him harm Cammy! I screamed in his face and headbutted into his mask, causing him to fall back. I got up and stomped his stomach many times. He tried to attack with his claws but I forcefully kicked it off his hands and grabbed him by the throat, choking him. At this moment, I really wanted to kill him here and now. For making my past hell and threatening Cammy. But...something stopped me from killing him. It is hard to explain...but I couldn't kill him. "What's wrong? Feeling soft?" He said before I knocked him out cold with a punch. I grabbed a walkie-talkie and told my allies to take Vega in for interrogation. After that, I heard Cammy groan. I turn and see her struggling to get up so I stopped her. "Hey, are you ok?" I asked. She nodded and looked at Vega. "You...You did that?" I nod. "But...I thought you have some hatred for Vega. Why keep him alive? Not that I'm complaining..." She asked. I look down and rubbed my neck. "I thought we should take him in for interrogation." She nods but then tilt her head. "Smart...but I think there's something else." I took some time to think before finally realizing what made do that. I blush and looked at her. "Cammy...I did that because I thought you wouldn't approve killing him. You never wanted me to cause any death to anyone. And...I thought you wouldn't like me anymore if I did that." I look down at the floor but then I felt a hand on my cheek. I was gonna react but Cammy brought my head to hers and kissed me. My face completely heated up and my eyes opened wide. After a couple of seconds, Cammy pulled her face away and gently smiled at me. "I would never say that to you. Yeah, you may need to control your temper...but I know your heart is in the right place." I stared at her for a while before I finally managed to say something. "T-That's really nice of you to say." Cammy giggles. "Plus...mission was successful." She playfully winks. "And as I said, I will agree to date you." I chuckled a bit. "Didn't that kiss get me the answer?" I asked. Cammy giggled again and nodded. "We should prepare to leave. Then maybe later we can go on that date." I nod and we both get up. For the rest of the day, we went on a date at a restaurant and spend the night together. I must say...taking this mission was probably the best decision I made.
