Not just any Caretaker can attend to a Clockwork Dragon's needs. When you hatch a Clockwork Dragon for your Island, it helps to read a few books on mechanics and watchmaking. Be Sure to oil your Clockwork Dragon regularly, check for any debris in its gears, and make sure to listen for any irregularities.

Is your Clockwork Dragon not flying as fast as it could be? Don't be afraid to tinker with them! Replace a few gears, or maybe file down its wings a bit to make it more aerodynamic! Don't worry; it doesn't hurt them, and they're very durable

Adult models of the Clockwork Dragon suffer from poor vision. To correct this problem, many Caretakers just build and attach a new head. Double the heads means double the eyes! The Clockwork Dragons see much better as a result, though the heads sometimes disagree on which way to fly.

Before a Clockwork Dragon can be officially designated as an Epic dragon, it must first be inspected and approved by the Dragon Island Mechanic Association - an organization that specializes in mechanical dragons. Epic Dragons must meet efficiency and emission standards set by the DIMA. Dragons that do have this approval are exceptionally well-constructed.
