• Picture of Faye above •"Faye, your aunt is here to pick you up," I looked up and saw one of the many officers in this place.
I got up and he escorted me to the headmistress's office. He opened the door and there sat my Aunt Luarie and Headmistress Alice.
My aunt turned around and flashed me a smile. The last time I saw her was when I was three. I would go to her place all the time, but her and mum had a falling out. I never knew why and it was an unspoken rule not to talk about it.
"Faye, please come sit," Headmistress Alice says. I do as told and take a seat next to my aunt. She smiles a sad smile at me.
"So. Faye, I have your transcript here and I have a meeting set up with your consular at your new school. I know some things maybe hard right now with you-" I tuned her out. I started focusing on the bird on the bush outside behind her.
"Faye?" I turned to see my aunts concerned face.
"Sorry what?" I asked snapping back into reality and refocusing in the people on front of me.
"I asked if you had all your stuff packed from your dorm room?" She asked.
"Yes. My uniform is also turned in," I mumbled.
"Oh good, I will send someone to go pick up your stuff for you and bring it to your car," she said and stood.
My aunt and I stood as well. Alice stuck out her hand and I shook it. "It was a pleasure teaching and serving you Faye Rose," she said with a smile.
I was close to Alice ever since my mum passed. My dad got angry and aggressive and Alice took me under her wing until my dad drank his life away a few weeks ago. I was placed with my aunt who lived in America.
That was all the way across seas. She lived in Iowa. From what I here it is small and never is really talked about.
I mean at least someone is taking me in although she really didnt want to.
