"Alright, what did you wanna tell me?" Dean asked Castiel the moment he sat beside him on their usual spot on the rooftop of their work's building.

Two years ago Cas was able to get Dean into his work. With twenty-five years Dean had already his master in mechatronics, so it was more than easy to get him into the industry. While Dean made what he could do best, Cas was in the finances unit, which was a lot of paper work and sitting on the desk for an ass-hurting long time.

Both of them simply managed to meet every day for lunch on the rooftop, like they were used to.

The both of them knew each other for twenty-five years now. Dean was two and Castiel was five years old the first time they actually had a first contact. It's a story their parents loved to tell other people, even if those people already were able to mouth along every word of this story.

"Castiel was so sad of his experiences in kindergarden. It was his first day without his best friend, after they moved away. He cried the whole day, so the teachers really had to give him a lot of attention. When we came home from kindergarden, the first thing he saw were the new neighbors. Everywhere were stuff and a big truck in front of the house which used to be his best friends'. He was so angry, that he sneaked out to do something to the neighbors, breaking anything or just letting something disappear. He decided to use his secret hole in the  fence, which parted the two backyards. But he couldn't do anything, because the first thing his big blue eyes spotted, were a two years old Dean who climbed up the tree house and couldn't come down on his own anymore. He was crying and crying, and even if Castiel thought about letting him there, he couldn't do it. He went there and stood exactly under the tree house, asking the other boy why he climbed up when he was too stupid to get down on his own. The toddler just babbled ununderstandable stuff, while Castiel tried to calm him down with soft words. The moment the boy stopped whining, Castiel offered to catch him and so he did. Dean bounced forward until he fell from the wooden floor and fell into Castiel's arms. Quickly grabbing into him with his life. The tree house was just a feet away from the ground, so this whole situation wasn't as dramatic at it played in their fantasy and the fact that we were actually watching and laughing bought us parents an great begin of a conversation." Castiel's mother always repeated.

Since then the two of them couldn't get parted. Dean followed Cas to every school he went and to every activities the older kid had to do, like violin practice or football practice, Dean was always there. And soon Dean's four years younger brother Sam plugged in. He now was studying to become a lawyer, no one knows where this came from, but he get's the full support.

"Well,-" Castiel started, clearing his throat before turning his posture to Dean, making the conversation a bit more personally "I, uh, I am, wow, I don't know how-" "Come on, Buddy. Spit it out." Dean pushed chuckling before
taking a sip of his bottle of water.

"I am gay." Castiel said as Dean wished. The sentence was so surprising for the dirty blond haired man, that he choked on the water and spewed it out into nowhere. Castiel watched his friend catching his breath before he went on "I always was more attracted to men, but I thought I should wait. You know, people think it's just a phase and I thought about it this way too, vainly. But now I am clearly about it and since you're my best friend, I found it for the best to involve you into it." He babbled, looking down to the cup of coffee in his hand.

The brown liquid was already cold, since Cas was just sitting there for half an hour waiting alone in this fall weather. He was over thinking the whole decision of telling Dean in any way and his best friend's shocked reaction didn't calm him in any way.

Dean was staring at his best friend, waiting for any hint of a prank or a joke or anything. But there was nothing. Just his own stunned face with the water dripping from his bottom lip. He just came back to reality as Cas took a tissue to dry his mouth from the water spitting.

"Can you please say something? You're like staring at me for more than five minutes." Cas said sightly nervous. Dean blinked a few times before he cleared his throat "Wow, uh, I don't know what to say. I had no idea. I mean you had girlfriends, Meg, April, Hannah, uh, that weird girl from church, uh, Amelia?-" "Yeah, you pointed out what you mean. Please continue on what you intended to say" Cas sighed, he already thought that it was a bad idea and Dean pointing out all his ex-girlfriends didn't make anything better.

"I just- Cas, hey," Dean shifted in his seat, making Cas look at him again "was I intended to say was that this won't change the way I think about you. I mean, you were Cas ten minutes ago and you will stay Cas for the rest of my life." Dean said, not knowing that the smile on Castiel's lips were more sad than out of joy.

Both of them leaned back, sighing hardly.

"Why did you came out, though?" Dean asked, turning to Castiel with a questionnaire face. He looked at him for a while before he gasped dramatically and placed his hand on his chest and the other one on his cheeks, pretending to blush "Don't tell me you're confessing your undying love to me-" "don't be stupid, Winchester." Castiel answered way to quick and gave his best friend a joking shove. Dean chuckled softly, before he noticed Cas taking something out of the pocket of his Trenchcoat. The raven haired man handed Dean a folded paper, which he unfolded immediately, reading the name "Mick Davis" and an actual mobile number.

Dean stared at the numbers in disbelief, looking up at Cas every now and then.

"Mr. Davis owns our partner industies in the United Kingdom and uh, he kinda confessed his crush on me. He gave me his number in case I decide to give him a chance and go out with him on a date" Dean couldn't help but joke "He owns the partner industies? Is he as old as the queen, or?" he was proud of himself, smiling like an hero.

Cas chuckled and shook his head "No, uhm. He is thirty-one, so-" "What?" Dean's eyes widen. Cas sighed and took the piece of paper out of his friends hands "Dean." "Wait, are you going to call him?" he asked him, scanning his best friend from the head to the toes.

Cas sighed again "I am thirty now, Dean. All of my relationships lasted not longer than a few month. Mick seems like a nice guy, so why not?" He said, turning to look at his best friend with hope. Dean just sighed, looking down at the piece of paper in his best friend's hand.

Why not me? Was all he thought, not being able to say it out loud.
