Derek's P.O.V
"Derek, wake up... DEREK" says a familiar voice. As I open my eyes I remember that I had slept over at Alex's place last night after it had gotten too dark to walk home.
"My mom made bacon and eggs for breakfast, you want some" says Alex, there's something about his voice that I found comforting. "Yes please" I respond as I see Alex go downstairs to the kitchen. I finally got the energy to get up and off of the most comfortable bed ever all the while wishing I could sleep all day, but I had to go downstairs for breakfast.
Once I get downstairs the table is set and I hear Alex's voice and can also smell the wonderfully cooked food which has now left an aroma throughout the whole house. I sit down at the table next to Alex and we start chatting about how school starts in 30 minutes and we have to leave the house soon.
Once we finish the scrumptious breakfast that was prepared, Alex and I make our way to school. Once we got to school a girl came up and gave Alex a quick peck on the cheek. Seeing my puzzled look Alex explains that he met Sky over the summer at a sport camp. Something about seeing Sky with Alex didnt make me feel all too great. It didn't seem right and although Alex bragged about how gorgeous she is, I didn't find her the least bit attractive.
After my Science class and Alex's Athletics class, we met in the hallway infront of our lockers. He was drenched in sweat, his white shirt sticking to some abs that apparently formed during the summer. For some reason I saw him differently. His smile along with his dimples made ME want to smile. His light brown hair, his smile, his abs, his EVERYTHING. For the first time ever I looked at him and thought he was the cutest guy ever, that's when I realized I was....gay...and I was falling for my bestfriend.
First story, hopefully it isn't as bad as I think it is 😂
