Just Friends?

“What movie are we seeing?” I asked Kian as we were driving down the road.

“Grownups 2” he replied, “but first were gonna stop at walmart for candy”

“Ok” I said I would never object to getting candy.

Once we got to walmart we went straight to the candy isle. I grabbed pretzle m&ms and he got sour-patch kids. I'd definitely be taking some of those. We went up the cashier and while I was pulling out my money I felt a hand ontop of mine.

“Dont I got it” Kian said

“Are you sure”

“Positive” he said with a smile.

We got our candy and put it in my purse so we could sneak it in. We got to the movie theatre and once again Kian wasn't gonna let me pay. Maybe Sam was right. Maybe Kian did like me, Sam did know him the best. I always considered me and Kian friends. Yes I had the slightest crush on him in high school. But now those feelings are gone.

We went into the theatre and sat in the back towards the middle. Previews started and we all know those take forever so I pulled out my phone and went on twitter. I wasn't popular or anything I had like 500 followers but that was because of the boys.

“Here lets take a picture” I said turning to Kian

We put our heads together and we both made silly faces. I did the duck face and he did his signature crab face.

“@heyy_its_brittnayy: at the movies with this freak of a friend @kianlawley”

I posted it and turned off my phone because the movie was starting.
