Satoru Higaji's POV
My alarm clock rang, jerking me out of my prolonged sleep.
"Ugh.." I stretched then sat up and ran my hand through my ragged hair.
Just then my sister, Hanako, barged trough my door and yelled, "Wake up sleepy head! You don't wan't to be late today!"
I shooed her out of my room and stood up. "You don't want to be late today." I mocked her in that high pitched voice of hers. She has a point. It's the first day of this Trimester. I thought.
I stood up and walked over to my closet and quickly changed into my school uniform.
As I walked downstairs, my mom, Tomiko Higaji, rushed me into the kitchen. "Now don't be late today! It's the beginning of this Trimester and if you're late that will be bad."
I rolled my eyes and smiled. "I know mom. I'll leave as soon as I get something to eat." I walked over to the fridge.
"Here, eat this on your way to school." She threw me a rice ball.
"Thanks!" I said with a mouthful of rice. While I walked down the sidewalk I heard some one yell.
"Higaji!" A voice called. "Wait up!"
I turned around and waved at my friend, Makoto Nigami.
He stopped next to me, panting. "W-why are you leaving so e-early?"
I rolled my eyes. "Hanako and Tomiko wanted me to be on time today."
Niagami snorted. "What made you want to listen to them today?"
I shrugged. "It's the first day of the Trimester. It's bad to be late today."
Niagami rolled his eyes. "It's bad to be late any day."
As we reached the school, tons of student were crowded around and walking into the high school.
"Haha...right in time for once I guess." I joked.
As we walked into the building, I noticed a group of kits talking about some new students that were supposedly 'strange'.
When I walked into my first class, Mika Otakawa, the class president walked up to me and snickered. "Well mister Higaji...your strangely on time today."
I nodded and placed my stuff on my desk then flopped down in my chair.
Otakawa smiled and sat at her desk.
As I took my text book out, I noticed three girls standing out side of the class room. When they walked in, I noticed they were all wearing hats.
That's against the school dress code, isn't it? I thought with curiosity.
They all sat down next to each other, one of them next to me. I knew at that moment, that these were the new students those people were talking about. The 'strange' girls?
