"Tickets! Tickets! Come get your tickets," a young man in a flashy red suit called out, catching the curious eyes of young children and adolescents passing by.
The scene brought back a wave of nostalgia as I recalled the time I was with my mother walking around the city of Seoul.
"Eomma! Eooommaaa! I want to go!" I cried out to my mother as I stopped in my tracks, stomping my foot to get her attention. My mother turned around and gazed lovingly at little five year old me. Following my small index finger, she was met with a splash of neon blue and red colors, brightly flashing from the rides.
A smile crept onto my mother's youthful, delicate features. Her dark brown eyes lighting up as an idea popped into her head. "Why don't we get your brothers first and then we can head over," she replied holding out her hand.
My somber expression, which was expecting a second no from my mother that day, lit up with excitement as my eyes sparkled with delight. Letting out a high pitch squeal, I jumped about, unable to contain the warm, fuzzy feeling inside of me.
"Okay!" I quickly replied, running over to her as fast as my little legs could carry me. Grabbing my mother's hand tightly within my chubby fingers, we hurried along toward the train station.
"Tae! Tae!" I cried out, roughly prodding his arm as my eyes widened in awe, imitating the same enthusiasm I had fifteen years ago.
Looking away from the outdoor coffee menu, he turned his gaze toward the carnival. "Woaw," he murmured.
"Let's go! Let's go! Can we?" I asked, tugging his arm.
He let out a low chuckle at my childlike behavior.
"Hmmm," he pondered aloud, licking his lips before flashing me a cheeky grin.
Stepping in front of him, I gave him the best aegyeo I could pull. Pleading with my big, round eyes to go.
His defined eyebrows lifted in amusement as his box shaped smile grew. Bending down, he gave me a gentle peck on the lips.
"Let's go!" he whispered, his warm breath hitting the tip of my nose, as his brown eyes lovingly gazed into mine.
Intertwining our fingers, he turned, dragging me toward the entrance.
I stumbled behind him, trying to keep up, unable to hold back the big smile plastered onto my face.
Little Rambles:
Hey friends! This is my first time writing a Tae imagine. Hopefully I get better and better at it as time goes on.
It's also the first chapter of hopefully a short 3 chapter imagine.
I hope you enjoyed! Have a wonderful day wherever you are and take care of yourselves!
