*a few days later*

Erikas POV- its been a few days since I received the money from Jake and it has honestly helped so much. After each regular pay check and tips I have no money left over. I pay the rent, utilities, food, toiletries. etc. Today was my day off since I work all through the week and weekends, these days are usually spent cleaning the house, making a list of things me and Sarah need, going to the park, or going to the library to look at books. Sadie was still asleep cause on these days I let her sleep while I do the house work just so shes well rested I then hear the doorbell ring and I was so confused cause no one ever comes to the apartment and I dont have the money to order anything. I put down the rag I was using to clean the table off and I opened the door and looked down at the ground and outside my door I saw 4 boxes, I dragged them inside and sat on the floor quickly opening them. In the first box was clothes for Sarah, the next box had clothes for me, the third box had shoes for the both of us, and the last box was smaller than all the others. I opened the box and saw 3 things, 2 envelopes, and 1 white box that was wrapped in clear film. I opened the envelope and found money ALOT of money I was completely shocked and thrilled at the same time, I opened the second envelope and found a set of keys and on the little tag it said surprise and to look outside, so I quickly got up and looked outside to see a brand-new Ford Focus RS I was completely stunned. I then walk back inside with my mouth hanging wide and tears pouring down my face, I then reach inside the box and pull out the white box only to flip it over and see that its a brand-new iPhone. I open the phone to see that its already payed for and activated, I start looking through the phone just exploring and feel something taped to the back of the phone. I turn it over to see a piece of paper and it says "jake from the diner" I then slightly smile and read the number below the name 000-000-0000 I then hesitantly dial the number and hit call I sit there letting it ring and ring and ring until he finally answers. I asked him as to why he did all of this stuff for me and he replied with something along the lines of he knew I was struggling and knew that I needed this stuff which I really did we talked for a few minutes me thanking him repleadily we then decide we should meet up so we decided to meet at the diner at 7. So during this time I put away all the clothes and shoes Jake gave me away in the closet, I set out a nice outfit for me and Sarah. I then put the money in my wallet cause I dont trust leaving any money in this old dump. After a while I woke Sarah up got her a bath and dressed her in some clothes and let her color while I got a shower and got dressed. After I got both of us ready and got the house straightened up I took Sarah out to the car and put her in the car seat that was already in there and I then started driving to the diner.
