In my eyes i see June
Not warm enough to be called July
Yet not too cold to be called MayIn my eyes i have seen the peace
So often replaced by fear
But not this time, not this JuneIn my eyes i carry hope
A different shade in the environment is starting to show
Wedding bells jingle everywhere
Promises are being spokenLet me not forget that in these same eyes
An ocean away
I can see heat fading away
Fire not being warm enoughIn another continent
I see clear evidence of dreams being shattered
Hope being lost
And a terrible cold taking over what was ever so warmIn my eyes
I see some place far
Where a son holds on to his father
Asking when it shall be their turn
To have a picnic in the sunMillions of miles from where i stand
I see water turning solid
Animals going into hiding
Environment becoming as harsh as could be.But what I see in my eyes
Will not last for long
Its only a matter of time before tables turn
And then it will be our turn
To see the fire we made dim
And the vows we made break.
