~Julianna's POV~
I slapped my annoying alarm clock and groaned. The headache and chills I had were directly from walking through the freezing rain for hours after getting lost when finding my way back home. I felt like shit, and knowing that I had to go to a new school for the first time made me feel worse. I sighed at the thought.
Being sixteen and starting something new with absolutely no friends.
"Yay." I mumbled to myself.
I climbed out of bed and walked over to my closet. I reached out and grasped a white polo shirt that buttoned down all the way. I grimanced at the ugly shirt and moved over to my dresser where I pulled out the hideous red plaid skirt and white knee-high I was required to wear. After staring at the outfit for five minutes, wishing for it to become cuter in any possible way, I layed them out on my bed and hopped in the shower.
I shampooed and conditioned my hair thouroughly with the coconut scented products and then shaved my legs and armpits quickly. After drying off I blow dryed my hair til it was in its natural beach waves. Normally I would just leave it but I decided since I woke up early enough I could straighten it. After straightening my blonde layers, I put on thing black eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes pop. I put tan eyeshadow over my eyelids making them look smoothe but natural and then applied my skin tone powder to make my face less shiny. I was soon walking back over to my bed and pulling on my white lace panties and then bra to my chest, covering my size C breasts that I found extremely annoying. I then began buttoning up the plain white polo and then slipping the skirt up until it was just below my belly button and it ended a couple inches above my knees. I tucked in the shirt and reluctantly pulled the socks onto my legs. I tied to white polo shoes the school provided us onto my feet and grabbed the red tie, tying it losely around my neck and tucking it under the collar. I sighed at my appearance, not thrilled about having to wear the school uniform. I grabbed my brown leather bag and pulled it over my shoulder and walked downstairs after grabbing my phone and keys.
I quickly said bye to my aunt and shut the door, starting to walk down the street. The gray clouds hung low, making me positive that this is what the weather would always be like. The walk was lonely and I crossed my arms infront of my chest trying to provide some warmth, mentally slapping myself for not bringing a jacket.
After about ten minutes of walking, I came to a halt infront of the school gates. I watched as kids between the ages of 14 to 18 talked in groups with their friends or sat on benches doing last minute studying. I was becoming convinced that I was never gonna fit in until a british accent chirped up behind me.
"Hello!"
I spun around and my eyes landed on a girl a couple inches taller than me, with dark brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes. Braces hung to her teeth, completely opposite from my white straight ones. She was still gorgeous and very bubbly.
"Oh, hi." I said shyly and gave her a small smile.
"I'm Paige Harper! I heard you're the new girl." She smiled at me and shook my hand.
"From who?" I wondered out loud.
"You see those group of people over there, to the right?" She asked me while pointing through the gates. I nodded my head when I spotted three boys and another girl huddled together. "The blonde boy noticed you standing out here, he said he saw you applying here the other day. Congrats on getting in by the way!"
"Thank you." I replied softly.
"Would you like to come meet them?" I nodded my head and followed her through the gates towards the group. Once we arrived all their eyes landed on me, making me feel very uncomfortable.
"Hey everybody!" She was greeted with several "hey paige" 's. "This is the new girl - um... I'm sorry I dont think I caught you name?" She asked me.
"Oh sorry." I spoke softly. "I'm Julianna."
They all smiled at me politely.
"I'm Reagan Jones." The girl with auburn hair spoke and shook my hand.
"I'm Robbie." A brunette boy said and shook my hand as well.
"And I'm Riley." A boy who looked identical from the previous one spoke and took my hand in his.
"Twins?" I asked and the nodded their heads in sync.
"I'm Tyson." The blonde one spoke up and shook my hand. Him and Reagan had similar chocolate brown eyes while the twins had ocean blue ones.
"Nice to meet all of you." I said politely. They all stared at me after I spoke a full sentence.
"Whoa." Riley said in awe. "You're REALLY new." He emphasized the word and I laughed.
"I'm from America." I said and they all praised me with how cool they thought that was and tried getting me to say different things. I was mid laugh when I saw a blur of something in the background, then the bell rang. The twins, Reagan and Tyson all said goodbye and walked into the building.
My eyes focused on what I had seen and it took everything in me to keep my mouth from dropping, but my eyes went wide. A tall boy came flying through on a skateboard and skidded to a stop smoothely. The curly brown hair fell over his forehead messily but it suited him well. His long sleeves on his white polo were rolled up just below his elbows, making the veins in his arms noticeable. His navy slacks weren't too tight but definitely weren't baggy and hung onto his waist where the shirt was tucked in. His white polo shoes were scuffed up, probably from kicking his skateboard up into his hand, his other hand being occupied by a binder. That's when the blazing green eyes became noticeable as he looked up at his group of friends. The dimples dug deep into the corners of his mouth and his smile was wide as he laughed at something his friend said.
"Harry Styles. The school's bad boy." Paige's voice spoke, snapping me out of my trance. She had caught me staring.
"Bad boy?" I asked in confusion. There was no way that Harry from the bakery was a bad boy.
"He has a rep for using girls and dropping them completely. I've never been targetted but it seems accurate." She shivered. "That boy scares me."
"How can you be scared of somebody you dont know? Do you even know if that's stuff is true?" I asked, defending the boy I met just yesterday.
"There are several witnesses. He's in a band so it's easy for him. Girls love a boy who can sing." She rolled her eyes.
"Maybe he's nice?" I suggest shyly, my eyes never leaving the cute boy from across the courtyard.
"He's trouble Julianna. Trust me I would stay away on this one." She hooked her arm around mine. "Now lets go before he catches us staring."
She pulled me towards the building and I glanced back just one more time, catching the green eyes land on me just before I turned around for good.
