"Shit. I got to go to the store."
Jake walked on to the balcony "For what?"

"Oh okay. Do you want me to walk with you?"
There was a gas station on the corner of the block they lived on. It was roughly a quarter of a mile.
"I guess so." Jess replied.
Jessica grabbed her purse and quickly walked out the door. Jake followed. They walked down the hallway to the sketchy elevator. They were in comfortable silence while the went down 2 levels to ground level.

She walked in the store and walked up to the counter. There was a tall blonde man with a girl smoking a cigarette tattooed on the side of his forearm.
"I need a pack of Marlboro Blacks and a pack of Menthol Newport's."
The guy behind the counter grabs the two packs and turns around. Jess looks up to the guy and locks eyes with him. She had never seen him before. His eyes are a bright crystal blue that she got lost in.
"10.68$" he says as she breaks away eye contact.
"Aren't you going to ID me? " she looks at his name tag, "Hmm, Koby" She thought.
"I didn't want to but I guess I should." Koby laughed.
She pulled out her wallet and showed him her ID.
"Good you're over 18... Jessica?" Koby winked.
"Oh my fuck this hottie is flirting with me. He even took the time to look at my name." She thought while she smirked and said nothing. She handed him 11 dollars.
"Receipt?" Koby asked politely.
"Sure, keep the change." Jess said and tried not to look interested.
He pressed a button. Grab the receipt and wrote something on it. When he gave it to her she put it in her pocket without looking. She smiled. Grabbed the cigarettes and walked out of the store. She instantly felt guilty when she saw Jake because she genuinely liked when this gas station worker flirted with her. She handed Jake his pack of cigarettes, opened her pack, and instantly lit one up. They walked back in silence while she thought about the encounter she just had. She went to the bathroom after they got back to go pee. When she pulled her pants down the receipt from the gas station fell out of her pocket; she picked it up and read a number written on the bottom.
