As a child when we were scared we hid under the sheets

we closed our eyes and wait for the danger to leave

we call our parents who's always there for comfort

we hug and kiss and go to sleep

if only we could face danger this way when we're older

but we're faced with the truth that its over

we won't always have someone to call on when we're scared

we can't close our eyes and hope it disappears.
