We are not afraid of the darkness that surrounds us
we are afraid of what the darkness may reveal
the secrets that hides away
the monsters that comes out to play
the time for those who were beside us to show there true colors
who's to say that the darkness is always bad
who's to say that it does not shield us from the real world
darkness can come in all shapes and sizes, all forms and prizes
it can be internal and external
darkness can disguise itself as anything it wants
and consumes us in words and thoughts
darkness is everywhere and we can't escape it
it'll capture us if we embrace it
