"You should hold back her hair," Kuriko said as she leaned against the door frame.
"She has to much hair!" Brick exclaimed.
"Just hold it back unless you want to wash it."
"Why do girls have so much hair?"
"Not every single girl has a lot of hair, Brick."
"Am I even doing this right?"
"Is her hair in the toilet?"
"No . . . "
"Then you're doing it right."
"Where are you going?!"
Kuriko looked at him, "I'm getting my me time. Now you can take care of Blossom, I have homework to finish."
Brick looked at her with wide eyes. Kuriko left the room, leaving Brick there. He look down at Blossom with sad eyes and rubbed her back with his free hand. Blossom leaned against the toilet, her forehead right against her arm. Brick sighed as he looked around.
"Need some water?" Brick asked.
She looked at him, "Why are you here?"
"I was worried about you."
"Pass me my toothbrush, I gotta get this taste out of my mouth."
Brick nodded and passed her the toothbrush. She thanked him as she flushed the toilet, looking at the sink she pressed the side of toilet and pushed herself up. Her knees wobbled making her fall but Brick caught her. She pressed her head against his chest as he lifted her up, walking backwards to sink.
She looked at her toothpaste and reached for it but missed it. Brick rolled his eyes with a smile and grabbed it for her. She thanked him again and put some on her toothbrush. Blossom brushed her teeth, once she was done Brick guided her to her room.
Blossom barely moved her legs, which Brick was fine with, but got tired once they reached the stairs. He looked at her, her eyes started drop down and slowly went limp in her body. He couldn't believe that she is going to sleep right now, at this time when they are about to go up the steps. Brick picked her up bridal style and walked up the steps.
"I can't believe you fell asleep on the stairs," Brick said with a smile.
"Not asleep." Blossom muttered.
"Then why are you eyes closed?"
"Not closed."
"Blossom, the liar look isn't even a good."
"They're open, see?"
Brick snorted, "All I see is eyelids."
He tapped the door with his hip, and saw how messy her room is. Brick laid her on the bed and put the blanket over her. She kicked her leg out, which made Brick laugh, and he took a seat on her desk chair. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back.
Brick never notice how soft Blossom looks when she's sleeping. Her hair fell around her face, her mouth slightly open with breathes leaving it. Her long eyelashes fell against her cheeks. Brick narrowed his eyes, why is noticing this?
He never seen Blossom like this. Brick has never been good with people who are sick or people who feel things then happy. He's always been around Butch and Boomer, who are always happy and full of laughter not to mention all the fights they would have. But being with Blossom, he's feeling something different.
His heart races when he is near her. His stomach is fill with strange flutters or his face always burning when he is near her. His palms are sweaty when he thinks about holding her hand. Or his legs are weak, knees wobbly, just by standing next to her.
Brick has no idea what any of this means but in a strange way, he likes it.
"Thanks for helping me." Blossom said.
Brick smiled, "Anytime."
"Do you know how to braid hair?"
"That's a odd question."
"It's really hot in here and I'm to lazy to actually do my hair."
"My braids come out very messy."
"I don't mind."
Brick sighed but he got up. Blossom sat up, eyes barely open, and he looked down on her bed. He only put one knee on it, he grabbed her hair gently. He braided her hair very messy, not even on purpose it just happens. He pulled away and went back to the chair.
"Brick," She said as she fell on her bed. "You shouldn't be a hair dresser."
"I warned you!" Brick exclaimed.
"You did."
"Blossom, you feeling any better?"
She shook her head.
"Want me to get you anything?"
She nodded.
"Okay, I'm going to need you to use your words."
"Come here."
He raised his eyebrow, "Repeat that for the people in the back, please."
She patted the spot next to her. Brick gulped, is she really asking him to lay there with her? She patted the spot again, making Brick get up. He laid down next to her and stared at her. Blossom closed her eyes and grabbed his shirt. Brick pressed his lips together and look up at the ceiling.
"Brick?" Blossom asked.
"What's up?" He replied.
"Why did you come here? School isn't over."
"I thought you was sick, stop looking at the time."
"I can't see the time, Brick. Remember my eyes are closed."
"Yeah yeah." He said as he waved his hand. "Shouldn't you get some rest? You're sick, get some sleep so you can come back to school."
"If I didn't know any better, it sounds like you miss me."
"And if I say yes?"
She giggled, "I would say yay."
"Get some sleep."
Brick looked over and saw Blossom already asleep. He sighed with a smile across his face. He pulled out his phone to watch some YouTube videos, because he doesn't plan on leaving her yet. Not until she tells him too.
But he wonders what will she think once she has a clear mind? Would she even remember this?
