After the blowout with Jake and Liana, Jake got up and stalked out of the cafeteria.
I looked up at Liam, one of Jake's friends.
"Isn't somebody gonna go after him?" I asked.
"Don't worry about that." He said, "It happens all the time. He just needs to cool off. He'll be back any minute now."
Jake did come back after that. As everyone else continued on with the conversation, Jake was unusually quiet.
I was quite tempted to ask what had happened but I didn't want to pry.
I only realized that I had been zoned out after I realized that someone was calling my name.
"Summer!? Summer!!? Are you even listening to me?" That was Ellie.
"I'm sorry what?" I asked.
"I Said, me and the girls are going shopping for the party on Saturday, do you wanna come? We'll be leaving Friday after school then we're going to sleepover at my place to get ready for the party together."
I didn't really know anybody here so I figured this would be a good way to make some friends.
"Sure," I replied "That sounds great!"

when the day ended, I went inside and got into my car. I drove for a while, then I looked through the rearview mirror, to see if that car was still following me.
He was.
He had been following me home ever since I had left school.
I pulled into my driveway only to realize that the mystery car had pulled up in my neighbor's yard.
