"So let me get this straight. You managed to chat with a guy long enough to get his name, and he even bought you a cappuccino. But, you didn't get his number?"
A groan of defeat escaped from Tristan.
"Was he hot?"
"I don't know."
"How can you not know? Is this guy even real or did you just make up a name?"
A glance down at his lunch hid devious thoughts.
I was too busy looking at his name tag so I wouldn't have to actually talk to anyone. I didn't actually look at him.
"I was just too nervous, okay? I already got out of the library. Shouldn't you be praising me for taking baby steps instead of nagging me?"
A hopeful smile met a fierce glare.
"Okay, Cheshire Cat."
The deep breath released a sigh of relief.
The two friends stood to leave.
Tristan strode toward the cafeteria door in victory.
"So when are you going again?"
