Chapter 7

A FEW MOONS LATER IN WINDCLAN CAMP.

Darkclaw's POV
I felt moss against me, and the scents of herbs. I tried to open my eyes, but all I saw was darkness. Then suddenly I heard pawsteps, then a voice. "Ah, you're awake."

The voice was calm, and peaceful like Mudfur. Then I sniffed the air again, it was Mudfur! I felt Mudfur step closer, then I realized I couldn't see him, or anyone else. "M-Mudfur?" I said out to the darkness, "It's me Darkclaw, can't u see me?" the voice sounded like it was next to him.

"N-no" I replied, suddenly Mudfur let out a sigh, then spoke shortly after. "I knew it..." silence felt like forever until I spoke to him again, "Knew what?" then Mudfur sighed then spoke calmly.

"Don't overreact, but Darkclaw, you were blinded in the fight against that rouge, while u were trying to save Whitepaw."

I layed still, I couldn't believe it, then the memories came back, Raveneyes death, Spiderpaw, Whitepaw laying on the rock, the silver rouge, Mouseheart's voice, then nothing.

"Darkclaw?" Mudfur said, I didn't reply until I smelt another cat, it was familer, really familer. I heard the cat pad in then the deep voice gave it away. "Is he ok? I'd like him to continue his deputy position." I realized it was Blackstar. "Blackstar......" I said calmly breathing in his scent.

I heard him sigh relieved, then I felt him lay next to me, and curl his tail over my shoulder, then felt Mudfur do the same. "I-I can't believe it, I'm blind"

"Shhh" Mudfur silenced me, then Blackstar spoke, "It's ok friend, alot has passed since u passed out, Longpaw, Fernpaw, Honeypaw, Sootpaw, and Oakpaw are warriors now." "Really? What are their names?" I spoke as I raised my head.

"Longtail, Ferngully, Honeypool, Sootpelt, and Oakclaw." Blackstar replied.

"What about Spiderpaw, Wolfkit, and his two sisters, Skimkit, and Jaykit?" I asked.

"They are all still kits, Spiderpaw is having it bad, no one wants to train him, and Mouseheart said u would." Blackstar said.

"Oh, alright." I replied "Now u need your rest, we will sleep with u tonight." Mudfur interrupted.

I nodded, then I layed my head down and drifted off to sleep, with Mudfur, and Blackstar beside me.
