Peter grinned cheekily at me, then flew over to the outside of the ship doing a flip and sticking his tongue out at the crew below. I giggled as we began to circle the ship, taunting and mocking the crew, when the last shot rang out. Peter and I raced off towards the clearing by Hangman's Tree, Hook shouting and pouting behind us.

I flew down to the ground, making myself comfortable in the low hanging tree. I frown as the boys were gathered around something and muttering. Peter suddenly appeared," Hah! I'm back," he grinned as the boys flinched, turning to face us, Peter stood on the branch near me. I kept an eye on the boys, their strange behaviour, and Z's disappearance making me suspicious.

"Great news! I know what happened to Cinderella, she defeated the pirates! There was stabbing, slicing, torture, bleeding! And they lived happily ever after." Peter exclaimed dramatically, slashing his knife through the air. I shook my head at his antics, "That's not how it goes at all, dork." I threw a berry at his head smirking. Peter simply shrugged proudly and turned back to the Lost Boys.

"Well, that's relief I must say," Slightly said, glancing at the boys who nodded exclaiming their agreement. I narrowed my eyes at them, "Boys, what have you done?" I asked folding my arms, knowing they were hiding something. They all shifted guiltily, Tootles glancing back at the ground.

"I have brought you she, who told us Cinderella! She is to tell us stories," Peter went on happily, as though I hadn't spoken. "She is..." he stopped, his smile fading as the boys parted. Revealing Wendy unconscious on the forest floor! Only upon seeing her did the agonising pain in my chest register. I fell from the branch with a thud, my breaths getting shorter, and I clutched my chest.

With my connection to the island, any senseless act of violence without provocation, affects me badly. I struggled to catch my breath my heart racing in my chest, my whole body radiating with pain.

"P-peter...help." I gasped out, the Lost Boys turned, and I heard the Twins scream.

"Jezz!" Peter rushed over falling to his knees beside me, "Jezz, you're okay, I'm here," he rambled, his hands hovering unsurely between us. I felt my head get lighter, blackness swimming in my vision, before everything faded, and I hit the ground.

My head felt heavy, my mind fuzzy like when I flew through the clouds above Neverland, I groaned slowly opening my eyes the white light blinding me. I blinked allowing my eyes to adjust, the light fading into the familiar roots of Hangman's Tree. I carefully sat up in my bed, a mound of furs covering me, and candles lit around the room spreading a warm flickering light.

I felt something shift next to me, a weight around my waist. I looked down and saw a tan arm, I traced my eyes up to the body next to me, and smiled faintly seeing Peter sound asleep, cuddled up next to me. I turned to face him reaching up to gently swipe a few strands from his face. I saw a few traces of tears on his reddened cheeks. I leaned over and softly kissed his cheek.
