I'm on you tail in a high pursuit...

                                                                           I'm coming after you.

This is not what I expected.

No, really, it isn't. This is so not what I expected - at all.

Sure, I expected a flock of newbies - fresh meat, so to speak - little chickens running around headless as they scramble to figure out where their next class is or which building is which. Instead, I am greeted by the sight of chaos as a massive flock of girls huddles at the middle of the campus courtyard, commonly known as the quad.

"What's going on?" I ask out loud as I approach the two people standing a few feet away at the stairs that leads down to the yard. "Looks like a flash mob gone wrong. March Madness come early?"

The person to my left, also known as my friend Vincent, shakes his head. "Nope."

I raise an eyebrow. "Oh...kay. I'm confused. Did I miss something?"

The person to my right turns to me quickly, an astonished look on her face. "Where have you been??" She gestures towards the scene in front of us. "Didn't you hear? Today's the day. He's arriving today."

I tilt my head closer towards Essa, my classmate and my only close female friend. "Who? Who's arriving today?"

"Amar Zahil, that's who." She says in her thick British accent.

"WHAT?! NO WAY!!" I act surprised. Or try to, at least. Not really a surprise for me, of course, since I already knew he was expected to come in today.

Apparently, so did everyone else. Which is why every girl in the entire county, let alone the whole country is here, as well as probably some from around the world. Why wouldn't they be? Ever since the news about his enrollment at Holston College in Kent, England was posted at the local social website Out+About, everybody's been talking about it.

"I don't get this, Erin." He leans closer towards me. "What's the big deal? Who is this guy anyway?" Vincent's voice struggles against the loud noise generated by the massive flock of girls all gaggling about.

Yes, who is Amar Zahil anyway? I quirk an eyebrow and smirk as I turn to stare at him. "Only one of the hottest members of . The U.K.'s globally famous hip-hop-urban music trio?"

"Oh, he's a member of that group?? Ugh, pass!" He waves a hand towards the group in a dismissive manner. A cloud of white air escapes past his lips.

Vincent may very well have but I couldn't. No, I really couldn't pass it up. Ever since I heard the confirmation of his enrollment four months ago, I quickly started preparing for his arrival. Four freaking months of careful planning, from what to wear on his first day at school, to coordinated outfits and looks in case I bumped into him around campus. Four long months of planning what to wear, what to do, what to say.
