Hours past, the search was unsuccessful. Soon, night has fallen. The street lights were dim, the streets were empty, and this made it harder for any investigation to take place. Under the faint moonlight, Lloyd spotted a figure in the distance.
The silhouette kept walking, not towards Lloyd but away from Lloyd. It seemed like she was trying to avoid him on purpose. Lloyd paused, blinking a bit at the sight. The sidewalks were practically empty, yet suddenly there was someone up ahead. But something felt... Off... About the situation. He moved forward again, this time following but keeping a fair distance from her. Something weird was going on here, and he will get to the bottom of it. What did he have to lose?
The conveniently blinking lights soon shone upon the silhouette. The silhouette was scantily clothed, which was... Odd to say the least. But let's not forget the most important detail. Was it her voluptuous body? No, it wasn't. It was that she had blood on her, a lot of it, mainly on her hands. The blonde had seen things like this before when he was younger when he helped out at a hospital. Women would come in late for help, often times wounded and half naked. It usually involved something like abusive relationships. Of course, he and his mother would take them in for the night to help them out, treat wounds and get them decent clothing. The image ahead seemed to be the same situation, and the teen quickly sped up, placing his bags and swords down on a bench, he passed by as he ran up to her.
"Hey! You alright?!"
She turned to him. To restate the obvious, she was scantily clothed and she was covered in blood. Adding to the fact that she was covered in blood, she appeared to have no visible injuries on her. Lloyd slowed down, eyes slowly widening. Her hands were covered in blood, and she didn't seem to be injured at all. That set multiple warnings in his head, instincts screaming to either run to his blades or enter a slightly defensive form, enough to get the hands in case she was hostile. He did his best not to focus on any part of her body.
"You're hands... That blood... What's going on?"
The figure squinted her eyes slightly as she looked at Lloyd. Her main strategy for battle, distraction, using her, ahem, mounds, definitely almost worked in this situation. She turned back around and started walking again, ignoring the fact that she'll be accused of murder since murdering was normal for her.
"Hey, wait up!" The Green Ninja caught up quickly, reaching a hand out for her shoulder. Just because there was blood on her hands, didn't mean it wasn't there for self-defense. He had killed people himself, albeit in self-defence to save those he loved.
"Are you alright? You're practically coated in blood, did something happen?"
As far as he was concerned, maybe she'd fought someone to defend herself?
"Does it concern you?" The female replied coldly.
"Er...well I am a bit concerned. It's late, you're coated in blood, and you aren't exactly dressed for public." It was an honest answer, although the tone of voice she had set him further on edge, instinct slowly kicking in as his irises would slowly go from brown to pale yellow-gold. Lloyd's hands would pale slightly, his fists clenched slowly as the tips of his fingers began to lighten in colour.
"Even so, my brother's stress has been relieved, so I should get him home" She then kept walking, her hair swaying in the small breeze. The female knew that usual nightly routine. She kills, she returns home before anyone bats an eye at her. Lloyd was obviously interfering with that usual routine. What would happen if she were to turn back into her human form right in front of him? She tried not to think about it as her walking became faster.
"Brother? But there isn't anyone here-hey, wait up!" He ran to his bags and swords, picking them up and putting them on his shoulder before dashing to get back to her.
"It's late, dark, and not exactly safe to be walking around dressed like that, no offence. It'd be safer to walk in a group at the least."
"I don't need your assistance, Lloyd. I need to get brother home and I can get there by myself. Don't interfere."
The figure eventually made it to the neighbourhood and breathed a bit heavily. She was running out of time. The blood from her claws was gone, and so was her actual clothes. She wanted to get to her home and lay down in her bed to keep her brother safe from the actual dangers of the night.
Lloyd sighed, hanging back far enough to give her space, but just enough to make sure she actually made it home safe. The night had definitely been weirder than expected. Checking the time on his phone, he mumbled something under his breath. Taking note of what house she had returned to, the Ninja found a nearby bench and proceeded to lie down on it, bags serving as a pillow. There wouldn't be any motels open at that time, and he had nowhere else to sleep at.
"This night...can't get any weirder can it?"
