Soon enough

"Miss Vanessa we're here at your grandmother's house."

"Thank you very much Mark." Vanessa smiled slightly at Mark. Vanessa knew that Mark is very worried about her.

"Miss I'll be just waiting here in the car." She nodded.

She walked to the door and knocked. After a few seconds a maid opened the door.

"Miss Vanessa welcome, Madame is waiting for you upstairs."

"I'll just go ahead then."

"I'll accompany you upstairs."

"No it's okay I know the way."

Vanessa looked around her grandmothers house it hasn't changed since she last went here. It was probably 4 years ago when she last went back to the Philippines.

She laughed as she remembered old memories.

Then finally she arrived in front of a door that she is very familiar with. She knocked. After a few seconds she heard a faint voice. "Come in..."

She opened the door and felt sad when she saw her grandmother looking so sick.

"Grandma... It's Vanessa."

"Vanessa!! Come here!!"

Vanessa was glad her grandmother can still smile.

"Vanessa I have something to tell you..."

Vanessa just listened.

" Your father is ugly but why are you so pretty."

Vanessa laughed.

"Grandma. I'm being serious here."

"Yeah thats the problem you're so serious when we haven't talk to each other for 4 years. Why are you so serious Van?"

"No one has called me Van for years haha."

" I should be the only one to call you Van. I miss you! Why didn't you visit me!"

"I'm sorry I was busy."

"I thought your father was the only one busy. I didn't think you are too. Was studying in London hard?"

"Yes grandma. And I missed you too."

" Do you have a boyfriend yet?"

"Not yet."

"Thats good and remember this, when you grow up your gonna have a lot of responsibilities. So for now enjoy life while you can. And also please take care of our company. Always do whats right for our company. Thats the sweat and blood of your grandfather."

"Yes grandma."

"Then good luck and enjoy life. What school do you want to go to lets choose your school :)"

"Umm... I want to go to a school where nobody knows me as the daughter of a rich family."

"Okay :) Vanessa if you don't mind, I want you to live here at my place. I have many extra rooms and you can choose which room you want."

"Okay. Umm grandma can I start school tomorrow."

"Sure. I'll let Mark talk to the school so you can go to school tomorrow."

"Okay good night grandma get well soon."

"Night. Soon enough you'll be ready..."

Vanessa was happy her grandma was still okay and is still the grandmother she knew 4 years ago. But was confused when her grandma said 'soon enough you'll be ready'
