"Jasmine, wake up" said a voice.

It was my mom.

"Ugh, why it is the weekend"

"You already know Karen and I always go out on Saturdays. Hurry up and get ready. She's bringing Shawn"

My eyes get wide. I quickly get in the shower and put one one of my cutest outfit.

I finished getting dressed and quickly did my hair and makeup

Then I went downstairs and watched TV in spare time

The doorbell rang...

I already knew who it was. "Can you please get that?"

I groaned "Okay"

I get up and open the door to see Karen and Shawn's face

"Hi Karen, come in" I smile then looked at Shawn and turn around quickly

"Oh, hey Karen. Hi, Shawn" I heard my mom say.

"Hi Debbie" said Karen

"Hello Debbie" Shawn said and looked at me

Every once in a while I would see Shawn look at me then quickly look at the ground

I just giggled cause I knew he was looking at me. He made it quite obvious

Then after my mom finished getting ready, we headed out the door to go to 54th street

Once we got there my mom order a table for four. We all sat down

"So Jasmine, how are you doing in school?"

"Alright I guess, straight As you know?"

Shawn looked at me and rolls his eyes.

I just looked down nervously and blushed

The waitress finally came and took our orders.

I order a salad since I really wasn't hungry.

"Why aren't you and Shawn talking?" Karen asked.

I shrugged "Ask Shawn"

Karen looks at Shawn "Shawn?" He just shrugs

"Okay?"

Our food came, finally and we started to eat.

It was very quiet and awkward.
