First Date

Izuku POV

At the age of 18 after the birth of two children I had yet to experience my first date.

There had been hangouts almost considered dates with Shocchan, Kirishima, Kacchan, and Kaminari but nothing quite official.

Things had quieted down.

"How'd you rescue Toshi Shocchan?"

"I went after the bastard after I was done with the other villains. I had heard you and Bakugou were all right so I was heading back to the other heroes. Well until I saw a suspicious figure so I started to follow."

He paused.

"Then what?"

"Well I confronted him and he gave the baby off to his companion who repeated her name as being "Crystal." She could crystallize. His fire was out of this world stronger than my father's and my own. It was hard..."

"In fact to the point of ending up as hurt as I did. But if it hadn't been for the baby I wouldn't have known what to do."

"What do you mean the baby?!"

"Flames came from his body not flames but rather something hotter, warmer. Most likely a lava substance. The girl dropped Toshi and I luckily caught him with my ice. Toshi didn't stop though all around him the ground burned and wilted. Hisashi tried to pick him up regardless since he had a resistance to fire but couldn't even get close..."

"Then how'd you pick him up?"

"I didn't I used my ice which melted at contact but I was able to move Toshi before it melted completely. Crystal had already taken a fall and Hisashi just couldn't accept the outcome. For one last move he breathed the largest fire Wall I had ever seen."

He stopped and looked down as if in pain.

"The last thing I ever saw. I protected Toshi who had finally gotten back to normal. I had seen the fire felt it across my face."

"How'd you find your way to the hospital?"

"Instinct."

"Instinct?"

"Hai. I just felt like safety was that way and I used my other senses to navigate."

"Again arigato Shocchan! I don't know what I could ever do to repay you! Oh and what are you going to do about the hero situation?"

"I don't know..."

"I think you should be a hero regardless! All you have to do is get adjusted, I can help you! Oh and you can change your hero name from Shouto to something way cool!"

"Like hand crusher or five pee pee man?"

"Hahaha no something like Blind Bandit or Blindman or —."

"Shouto it is. None of those really catch my attention."

"Ooooooo! Or how about the Unseen Hero?"

"Unseen hero?"

"Unseen hero ya know... you can't see but you're still a hero plus I know you don't exactly want attention or the spotlight you're kind of not into those kinds of things. Plus Unseen would be because you would rescue all these people as a hero out of the goodness of your heart, seen or unseen. To me a hero is someone who doesn't crave attention but someone who is the same as they are seen and unseen, someone who is themselves in front of the curtain and behind."

"Interesting... I suppose it's kind of catchy and well I'm not really one for bright lights and cameras anyways... The Unseen Hero it is Then."

I gave him a hug.
