It was six in the morning and my head was about to explode.
I saw a guy with light brown eyes and dark brown hair inside the room. He looked like...me. Though, he was staring at something interesting on his phone. And then I realized that it was my brother. My twin brother. My head started pounding again so I just laid back and rested.
I kept looking at the ceiling when I heard a cellphone ringtone. I looked around and only saw Dan getting something from his pocket.
That ringtone seems familiar ...I thought.
He never took notice of me until I coughed. (unintentionally, of course. I seem to have allergies) "Hi sister," he said. After whatever accident I got into and this is how he reacts?
"Dan, why am I here?"
Of course, I settled with the obvious question in my mind since I don't seem to remember a thing about it.
He rolled his eyes and said, "Well, obviously, you got in an accident. The news says you got hit by a motorcycle pretty hard in the head. Then, the doctor said you might have amnesia, really, I don't see why it was very cliché. But nevertheless, don't think I don't give a shit about you."
I really forgot on how blunt and rude my twin can be. I hope we don't share that trait.
"What is with you and that phone?!" I said, not being able to take it anymore. I mean, how can he be this attached to his phone and not even talk or ask me if I'm alright? I'm his sister for crap's sake!
"Everything. You know, I know you have amnesia and all but this is exactly how you reacted when I was the one in a terrible accident, causing me to sleep for a good month. You seemed like you didn't really care if I was doing well and you kept looking at your god damn phone. Well sis, it's payback." he said.
After he said the last four words, I suddenly became dizzy and lost consciousness. The last thing I could hear was my brother calling for the nurse.

"Dec, your brother's in the hospital. H-he got in an accident. He was hit by a truck and . . . " my mom explained. No. That just can't happen. Not now. I quickly called a cab and rushed to the hospital where my brother was admitted.
Half an hour later, I arrived, with an ignored - but still painful - headache present.
Nonetheless, I went to the second floor and asked where Dan was. The nurse looked at me, confused, she was probably thinking why a fifteen year old girl was rushing towards a, seemingly, quiet hospital and was wearing slightly embarrassing clothes.
When she wasn't replying, I pushed her. Eventually, I got the room number, and all the details needed. When I got in, I couldn't help but stare at his blank figure. Guilt rushed to me as I recalled that I was the one who caused this. I just looked at the floor. I never dared to look at my grieving relatives. It was hard to admit, but guilt was taking it's toll.
