The Royal Rumble

2 months have gone by as you and Abyss hadn't started your rivalry yet, but were building up to it. It was nearly Wrestlemania season as the Royal Rumble was a week away as you and Bayley arrived to Raw as you two made your way to your locker rooms. You go into your locker room and get your ring gear on before you get a text from Hunter about meeting him and Steph in their office before your match tonight. After you get your ring gear on, you make your way to Hunter's office. You knock on the door and get the go ahead to go inside. You walk in and find Bayley already sitting down in front of the desk. You sit down next to Bayley as Hunter starts to speak.

Hunter: Thank you both for coming in before your matches tonight. So here's what's going on. Abyss is tired of waiting on when your going to fight him (y/n). But since the Royal Rumble is coming up, that's when you two are going to start your storyline. 

You: Um... ok, but what does that have to do with Bayley? 

Hunter: Simple, she has a big part of being terrorized by the monster himself. Do you two remember the Kane and John Cena storyline a few years ago?

The both of you nod

Hunter: It'll be something like that, minus the love triangle. 

Bayley: Interesting, but when is this all going to happen?

Hunter: Right after the Royal Rumble. You two were notified that you're competing in the Royal Rumble matches right?

You: Of course we did. I'm excited for it.

Bayley: Yeah me too. Hopefully I'll be the next women's royal rumble winner. 

Hunter smiles and shakes your hand as he does with Bayley and you two are excused.

Hunter: Good luck to you two tonight in your matches. You're gonna need it.

You and Bayley walk out of the office and look at each other funny as you two were walking away.

Bayley: What did he mean by that?

You: Who knows? We're in WWE, anything can happen.

You and Bayley just let it go for now and make your way to catering, where Seth, Sasha, Finn, and Ember were waiting. You two sit and start talking and cracking jokes with them.

*2 Hours Later*

You were at the conclusion of your match with Baron Corbin as you were preparing for your finishing move. As Baron got up, you jump from the top rope and do the 450 leg drop on Baron as he is down and out. You go for the pin. 1...2...3. You win the match as your music plays and your arm is raised by the ref. Your celebration gets cut off, by the sound of Abyss's music playing and the crowd going crazy for his appearance. Abyss walks out and walks to the ring. He gets up on the apron and gets in the ring as you slowly get up and have a stare down with him. Abyss stares back at you. After a few seconds, you attempt to leave the ring, but Abyss blocks your path as you start to move. You smirk and raise your arms, motioning to him to take the first shot. Abyss starts punching away at you as you do the same, until this whole fight escalades to the backstage area. You and Abyss kept fighting until you got to a flight of stairs as you charged at Abyss, but the camera only got the sound of a yell and a loud thud. The camera comes around a wall to find Abyss, holding a 2x4 with nails sticking out of it and you at the bottom of the staircase, knocked out. Abyss walks out as he left you lying at the bottom of the stairs.

After a little while, you're sitting in the doctor's office as he checks you for any broken bones or any serious injury. 

Doctor: Well... there's nothing really anything broken, but you did have some internal damage after being hit by... whatever that thing was that Abyss had.
