The Pregnancy

*3 Months Later*

It had been three months since the wedding. You slowly started to open your eyes until you notice that Bayley wasn't beside you. You rose up from the bed and notice her, standing in the doorway of the bedroom with the biggest smile on her face.

You: What is it?

Bayley: This.

Bayley handed you something. It was a pregnancy test that read positive.

You: No way...

Bayley nodded excitedly as you got up and held her in your arms.

Bayley: We're pregnant! We're gonna be parents!

You: You know what that means right?

Bayley: I'll get the phone calls started.

You kiss Bayley before the both of you go off to call your families together.

*9 Months Later*

Bayley had made it to her third trimester and was expected to go into labour anytime now. You don't know how you managed to go through with it after all of the mood swings, cravings, and other necessities that Bayley had or needed, but you did what you could and kept her happy. You were currently sitting on the couch with Bayley, watching TV, until she decided to break the silence between you two.

Bayley: Hey babe?

You: Hmm?

Bayley: I was just wondering. After these last nine months, I noticed that you hadn't lost your temper or anything insane after all of the stuff you've had to do to keep me satisfied, why?

You: Simple... I didn't do it just because of you and the baby, I kept my cool because if I did something stupid, I would regret it later. You're the reason for me to live for and now I have two reasons to live which are you and this baby and I wouldn't do anything to throw it all away. I love you too much to anything stupid.

Bayley: I lov- ah!

You: What is it?

Bayley: I think my water just broke.

You jump up from your seat and get everything you and Bayley needed before getting the car started and driving as quickly as you could to the hospital. After a few minutes, you and Bayley arrive to the hospital and check in to get her to a room. Shortly after they got Bayley into a room, you phoned both your's and Bayley's parents. After the calls, you run to the room Bayley's in and sit by her side as she goes into labour.  She holds on to your hand tightly while the doctors and nurses are doing all they can. Four excruciating hours later, Bayley came to the final stages and it was time.

Doctor: Ms. Y/l/n, you're almost there! You need to push now!

Bayley looks at you with a worried look on her face while you gave her a look of confidence.

You: You can do it babe! I believe in you! 

Bayley nods before she starts to push. She pushes and pushes after letting out a blood curdling scream and shortly felt relief after the doctor had stepped back. Bayley looks back at you with a concerned look on her face.

You: You did it Bay. You did it! I'm so proud of you.

It wasn't long until you and Bayley heard crying and saw the doctor stand up with the baby in his arms.

Doctor: Congratulations. You two have a healthy and beautiful baby girl.

Bayley looks back at you in excitement as the doctor handed over the baby to her. You and Bayley smile wildly at the sight of your new and beautiful daughter.

Bayley: Wanna hold her?

You: Yes. Definitely. 

Bayley hands over the baby to you after she opened her eyes and looked you and Bayley. You smile and introduce yourself as her dad before you hand her back to Bayley and went to get yours and her parents.

Bayley's Mom: Have you two decided on a name yet?

Bayley nods

Bayley: Desiree. Desiree Michelle Y/l/n

Everyone smiled and nodded in agreement.

*2 Days Later*

You and Bayley had been excused to check out of the hospital and were able to go home with your daughter. After getting everything ready for Desiree, nightfall had arrived as you lay her down in her crib before Bayley joins you by your side and watch her.

You: Thank you.

Bayley: For what?

You: For giving me another reason to live. I love you to pieces my...queen.

Bayley smiles and wraps her arms around your neck.

Bayley: I love you too my king.

You kiss her before the both of you kiss Desiree's forehead and go to sleep. This was where life had taken you. From being a lonely and suicidal mess to being a husband and father. Bayley had saved you and now you have every reason to live now that you have a family. This was it... the good life...
