"Choi Yang Ja, you are the worst dancer in the history of the universe." She sighed to herself, shaking her head and slowly walking towards the left side of the room where a table stood. A plain, white, plastic table on which her belongings sat. A small lilac backpack with a small dangling Ryan decoration, her new Samsung galaxy with a glittery pineapple case, and a lanyard with many keys hanging from a single silver ring. A tall bottle of water sat on a napkin, a ring of sweat from the bottle dampening the square piece of thin paper. Her dark hazel eyes scanned the table, searching for her small orange bottle of aspirin.
The bottle caught her eye, laying on the shiny wooden floor on its side. Rolling slightly, letting the small tablets inside move as they wished. She bent down, picking up the small bottle and examining it. Her small, and fragile fingers trailing over the small black lettering on the white printed label. Suddenly, a loud and piercing jingle came ringing from the device sat on the table, scaring the woman and snapping her from her daze making her drop the bottle once again. She quickly picked the bottle up, standing straight and reaching for her phone.
"Lee Tou Su. Always scaring me." Yang Ja chuckled as she picked up the phone, swiping her finger across the screen and answering the call.
"Yeoboseyo?"
"Hey! Sorry I probably called at a horrible time but I really needed your expert help."
"What is it this time? Girl trouble?"
"No. I'm not that bad with the ladies! It's a more.. how do I say this, important situation?"
"Go ahead and shoot, I'm all ears bud."
"Well there's this new company that moved into the building in the middle of town, you know.. AinCorp? I guess a representative from their administrations office caught my resume online and contacted me. I don't know what to do."
"Does it pay better than what you have no-." The call between friends ended abruptly as the woman's phone battery had depleted completely.
"Damn. I forgot my charger too." She groaned, slouching and face palming herself. Yanju looked around quietly and spotted her car keys hanging on the hook near the cloudy glass door on the far side of the room. Quickly grabbing her things and crouding them inside her small bag, she kept towards the door, grabbing her car keys and heading out of her company building. Yang Ja jumped into her car, the seven pairs of eyes once watching her in the practice room now dispersed their group and had disappeared into the building.
The woman arrived at her apartment building, quickly sliding out of the driver's seat of her car and locking the vehicle. Yang Ja quickly dashed through the lobby, quickly waving to her neighbor getting their mail, and sprinted up the four flights of stairs. She quickly unzipped her bag and grabbed her house keys, jamming the small key into the lock and throwing the door open. A small meow echoed through the nearly empty living room.
"Risa, mommy's home!" Yang Ja gushed, making slight grabby hands towards the small kinkalow, bounding rapidly towards her. The small siamese kinkalow rubbed its fluffly little head against the woman's leg, purring and meowing in delight. Yang Ja picked up the cat and set it onto her shoulder, allowing it to rest its head against hers, continuing to pur. The woman closed the door behind her and continued to her kitchen, stopping by the island and plugging her deceased phone into the charger and setting it onto the counter along with the small kitten that was once on her shoulder.
The tiny creature meowed as she watched her owner rummage through cupboards and drawers. The woman, finally finding what she was looking for, which happened to be a small bag of kitten treats, walked back over to the kitten who sat quietly on the counter.
"I'm sorry for leaving you for longer today Risa. Mommy loves you so much!" She cooed, placing a small fish shaped treat in front of the kitten.
