Zen began to run as fast as his legs could carry him . He could hear the screams of his mother and also he was aware that some people were following him and threatening him to stop running . He ignored it all and just ran . He was then surrounded by the people.
"You're stubborn, aren't you ? And what's with the precious ring in your hand huh? Boys let's teach him the lesson of being stubborn and take that ring with us . I'm sure we will get paid for that thing." one of them said.
"SHUT UP ! you murderers I'm not gonna give this ring to you" he said trembling.
"Oh !You sure have guts to pick a fight with the nobles . Let me teach you a lesson"Having said that,he raised his swords to kill Zen . To protect himself Zen covered his head with his hands . He then discovered that he was protected by a barrier of light magic . The nobles were surprised to discover the strange ability Zen possessed .Zen himself was surprised .
After few minutes of astonishment , the barrier began to disappear . "OH I didn't know that a mere village boy like you possesses light magic which is so rare it makes me want to kill you more " Zen was now helpless and hopeless he then waited for his death as there was nothing he could do .
The noble had raised his sword to kill him . To his surprise a person was standing in front of him.

"oi oi! do you really have no shame ! A group of nobles killing a powerless village boy in the middle of night?"He said leaving everyone surprised!!!
"WH..WH..WHAT is the legendary magic knight LUCIFER doing here ?" one of them said with a nervous face.
"Got a problem with that . Now if you wish to live then run otherwise I don't mind killing you all " He said .After that all that everyone began to run ZEN WAS THERE DUMBFOUNDED.
LUCIFER POV:
Was the immense light magic that attracted me here possessed by this boy? And what is with the precious ring in his hands also how can a mere boy like him use magic in that age ?"
"Thank you!" He said trembling and crying . Lucifer who was lost in his own thoughts was woken by the voice of the trembling child .
"You're welcome ! By the way what are you doing here in this hour ? Why were those nobles trying to kill you" He said .
With tears in his eyes , He explained how brutally his family was killed and how he escaped from those nobles .The child then said" I'm gonna be stronger than anyone else and I will not fail to protect what's dear to me "
Lucifer was shocked by the child's words"That means you're gonna find the truth of this world and you're gonna surpass me huh"Lucifer stated
"Yes I'll do anything to become stronger" He said as tears began streaming down his cheeks from his unblinking eyes .
Lucifer then smiled and said "I Like your spirit little boy .Now stop crying and go to the capital in order to shape your magic discover true friends and search for the truth of this world along with them"
Zen was inspired by his words and he promised him that he will become stronger and discover the truth of the kingdom and surpass him one day .
