QUEST FOR THE TRUTH

CHAPTER 5

The next day , the journey began as the the king and the queen bid a farewell to both Zen and Jade.

"It feels sad to part with parents  . All those adventures I had sneaking out from the palace ALSO the scoldings I got from my parents . I MISS THEM ALL"Jade said.

"Yeah ! Jade nothing's permanent . The happiness I had till yesterday have all vanished today. Still I cannot give up as they gave up their lives for my survival also the promise I made with Lucifer, I have to surpass him and find the ultimate truth of this land!!" Zen said with confidence in his eyes and he looked all determined.

"Will you be my friend Jade ! Let's find the ultimate truth and protect what's dear to us " Zen said to Jade "Okay Zen ! It's a promise"

FLASHBACK

Zen POV:

I was taking a round in the huge palace astonished by  its beauty and art  when I found a captivating painting of a handsome man .

"Beautiful , isn't it " The king said  appearing out of nowhere    

" Yes ! it sure is" I replied

"Its the late magic king "

"Huh! who is he"

"He protected  this world  and  its people . The magic power he possessed  is incomparable to anyone alive ."

"where is he now" I asked in curiosity

"He died few years back and the cause of death is still unknown . No one thought that the magic king who had that immense power and ability would die one day . He loved and cared all the citizens .

I was also one of them . He was my idol  and my mentor . I was a very weak  child from the royals always bullied and hated by everyone . I wanted to get out of the palace find true happiness . I succeeded  in doing so . I successfully  escaped from the palace with the help of  one of the maids who was like a sister to me .

After the escape , I was very happy for few days . After a few days, I came to know about the hardships one commoner had to face . I was struggling to survive . I didn't have food to eat and place to sleep still it was better than the life of the palace . I still had freedom .

The next day  when I woke up I found someone saying are you okay I  didn't realize that hunger had caused  me to faint in the roads of capital. I still remember how he took care of a helpless child  like me . I revealed my identity  he was a bit shocked  when I told him that I  wanted to get stronger like others .  He then trained me and after  few years I was able to master my magic . I had become stronger and  powerful.

I was leading a happy life when one day I heard that the royal family was brutally killed  though I didn't love them still I  had  responsibility to carry out. I bid my farewell to my mentor . I didn't know that it was last time I was seeing him.

Then I  went to the palace everyone was shocked to see me there few years back I had been rumored of being killed at a young age as I didn't possess any power . Soon after that  I was crowned as the King and was married to a beautiful princess . I had a happy family and one day  I heard the news of the death of Magic King . I was devastated by the fact but now I  had huge  responsibility on my shoulders . The land was becoming lawless and chaotic day by day . I  am still working to make this land  peaceful as it was before I have sent many people to discover the truth still no one has been able to .

      It's not that I want to send you to the magic school just because you have hades ability . I am impressed with your strong determination and your character .  I hope you will not let me down Zen" THE KING SAID

"of course ! Your majesty !" Zen replied

"Take this sword with you . This is the sword given by my mentor and is very precious to me . I hope you're the best successor for this sword "

"THANKS YOUR MAJESTY" Zen said with tears in his eyes

"And by the way Thanks for addressing me with respect ,little boy"

End of Zen's POV

"OUR SOLDIERS HAVE ALL BEEN DEFEATED BY THE BANDITS !!! SAVE THE PRINCESS AND ZEN " ONE OF THE SOLDIERS SAID  PANICKING   !!!!
