"yeah, i mean, why not," she replied sheepishly.

throughout the entire time they cleaned up the house, not a single word was exchanged between them. awkward tension filled the air, as they made subtle eye contacts but looked away from each other afterwards.

once they finished, ryujung was ready to leave. she took her bag and opened his front door quietly.

"bye then, see you at school," she said, waving lightly.

as she was about to close the door, hyunjin's hand clenched onto the door frame tightly.

"shin ryujung," he cleared his throat.

looking up, her eyes widened, as she gave a puzzled look on her face, wondering what was hyunjin's next request again.

it was the first time since the past few months that hyunjin has ever called out her name. her full name.

"you like jisung?"

"huh?"

"nothing, bye." and he slammed the door shut.

"oh..?"

"did he just asked if i like jesus' songs? jesus sings? and hwang hyunjin converted? when?" ryujung thought on her way down the stairs, wondering what on earth he was trying to ask just now in such a hurry.
