Ten years later

                  Isabella’s Point Of View

Daddy gets himself worked up sometimes. They tell us that they were both in the Hunger Games. But we don’t understand exactly what happened. We don’t go to school, they home-school us. I’m older now, I can handle this, and I don’t need to be babied!

Tommy hasn’t talked, ever. I doubt that he’ll be reaped. But I have the suspicion that we’re more at risk than anyone else because of who our parents are.

Peeta’s Point Of View

I really mean well, I really do. I get really upset when she calls herself names. She’s the one that should be pointing fingers, and not at herself either.

I really worry about her sanity at times.

She named our children Isabella Rue and Gale Thomas. She can’t say Gale or Rue’s name without crying. But maybe she is trying to give herself immunity. She does hate feeling weak.

Katniss’s Point Of View

My children will NOT participate in the Games, no, not now, not ever! The Games should have ended long ago. After President Snow’s grandson, Storm, stepped up to take over things got better, but the Hunger Games didn’t, and they won’t. The Hunger Games are still being held. Tomorrow is the reaping, and EVERYONE is required to attend. They now check the houses; they search them over to make sure that everyone comes. Our daughter is 15 now and our son is 12 and both will be entered in the reaping and both have a chance of being picked. But what they don’t know is that Peeta and I have been training them for this their entire lives. Every little hunting trip, every archery practice, and every “dodge ball game” was for their training. If they are reaped, they WILL win and I guarantee you THAT!

Tommy’s Point Of View

Mother won’t let us be reaped, she’ll stop it, I KNOW THAT SHE WILL.
