Mercedes' POV:

I am so stressed! How am I supposed to pack in only 4 days? Eeek! I grabbed my pink suitcase, and started to fold up my dresses and skirts, while listening to my fave song, Lazy Summer, by... well, me! And my sisters, of course - you can't have the GEM without the G and the E!

The Mercedes Rap came on, and I sang along. This part is my fave!

"#I'm feeling free, with no responsiblities. Not making memories, just watchin' on my screen. No playdates, no bedtimes, no boardgames, no car rides. Try something new? No thankyou! I'll play video games all day, wearing a diaper like a babe-ay. My summer has no chores, throw my garbage on the floor. Kids all over the world, say it with me - parents please! Let us be lazy!#"

I suddenly realized that this year, Lazy Summer would not be in my vocab... but Paris, Shopping and Boutiques would!

As I was about to start on packing my jammies, my Mom walked in.

"Hey Mercedes!" She said, sitting on the bottom bunk. "Already packing, I see?"
"Yep! It's always good to be prepared! And I definitely have to be prepared for adult-free Paris!" I grinned.

"Well what if you weren't going to Paris?"
"What do you mean? YouTube said-"
"What if that wasn't YouTube, and was actually just a fake email?"
I stopped in my tracks, turning off my music.
"Huh?"

My Mom's face was totally serious, but then she broke out into a big grin.
"Don't worry, I'm just kidding! You and your sisters are defintely spending your Summer in Paris for two weeks. YouTube confirmed."

I sighed in relief.
"You had me there for a second, Mom!" I giggled. "Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?"

"Yes, there is actually. Do you remember Aunt Danielle and Uncle Philip?"
"I think so," I blinked. "The ones who live in Hawaii?"
"Yep, with their children Lauren, Gabi and Trent."
"Oh yeah! They came to stay with us a few years back, right?"
"Correct."

"Anyways, what about them?"
"You won't believe it. They're on holiday right now. And it's in Paris! But that's not even the biggest coincidence - they're staying at LGH too!"
"What?" I gasped. "Really?"
"Really! That means you'll be spending time with Gabi, and the others!" Mom said happily.

I stopped, right in my tracks.
"Gabi?" I spluttered as all the memories of a few years back came flooding into my mind. "As in, Geeky Gabi?"

"That's not a nice nickname," Mom said sternly. "But yes. I mean, what other Gabi's are there?"

I groaned loudly, falling into a pile of clothes. Gabi and me were complete opposites!

I loved pink, and she loved... finding out how to divide fractions at the age of 5... Suddenly, Paris doesn't seem all that, anymore...
