Now, I know I haven't quite stated the obvious here yet, so here it goes. I have a.. difficult time with public speaking. I have been humiliated during speeches, parties, school field trips, etc. Basically, I'm not the social type, dispite my occasional sharp tounge. I have little ability to make friends and I have never kissed a boy. Not to mention, singing? In front of a bunch of people I don't even know? Yea.. Out of the question here. That's why I don't tell someone I just met about something like this. Anyway, I was just about to begin singing a short song my brothers wrote, when look who shows up? Kelly, back from the restroom. I sigh, glad I can hopefully weasel out of this. she notices the staring class, "What? you never seen someone walk in a room before?" she stuck out a hip, one hand resting. "So.. What's goin' on?" she awkwardly asks," Wait, OH! Are you about to preform Cat?" I can see Eli's eye's looking at me. It's like their saying,"Oh, so she can call you Cat, but I can't call you Sar? I see how it is." Mr. H stares impatiently at Kelly,"Miss, um- Kelly Jacobs, is it?" he asks checking his little clipboard. "Y- yes?" Kelly seems surprised. The teacher sighs heavily, running his temples." And what do you play?" He says as if he dosn't even want to know. she nods,"Ohhhh. The violin." she eyes me wearily, as if knowing something isn't right about me right now. Which is true, actually I suppose. "Do you want me to play a little something?" See? This is why we're friends. "That would be wonderful ms. Jacobs!" Mr. H seems delighted about her volunteering. I sigh, turning to walk back to my desk. As I pass Kelly I whisper, "Thank you." And sit back down. I don't have the guts to look at Eli's face. Probably smirking right now, I think.
A/N- HEYYY sorry for the short chapter, it'll be longer next time :D and what do ya'll think of Mr. H? I haven't decided what kind of teacher-guy he is. Comment, vote, and add to library! :p
