Chica finally gave birth and we visited her once at a time. Lani went before me and walks out typing, "You're going to love what you find out in there." I walk in and Chica is holding her baby like a true mother. "What's her name?" I ask reaching my hands out to carry her. I hold her and look at her with so much love knowing that my family just grew with one more and I get to see her grow. Her husband wrote on a piece of paper, "Her name is Nana and—the second one Quora." He smiles as he shows me. A nurse comes from behind the curtain holding baby number two. "TWINS!!! You didn't tell us it was twins?" I said trying not to wake them up and expose the surprise for those outside the room. They nod yes and write again, "We wanted it to be a surprise to everyone. And actually there's one more surprise for you..." Melani, my sister, walks out crying coming in for a hug. I fell to my knees crying like a big baby. Her husband walks out from behind her following her. "I missed you. They told me everything that happened and I want you to know that you still have family, you have all your cousins, you have two nieces, you have me, and brother in laws. You're not alone Cameron, we have your back and remember we know the pain you feel from having both parents die. We might not know the pain not being able to hear but we will support you and we will learn sign language for you." She handed me a piece of paper that said all this.

I hug her so tight and her husband, filled with joy. Chica does me a favor and has the nurse get Lani, only Lani, for me so we can all be together. Lani walks in smiling and with tears of happiness because she knew this entire time what the true surprise would be. But honestly both are such big and amazing surprises because it's my family. We all huddled around looking at each other with gratefulness and joy. I looked at Lani and couldn't help but kiss her. An hour later and Lani left to the hotel she was staying at. My sister, Melani stayed with Chica. And both of their husbands drove me to the store first to get some things for Lani. They were pretty cool. I think we might have a bromance. Then I get to Lani's. I knock and the door opens up, which was already opened. I walk in and there are candles everywhere. "Lani?" I said looking around.

Lani comes out wearing a silk, wine red, simple spaghetti dress. Her beautiful long brown hair curled and her hands behind her like if she were hiding something. My jaw drops and my knees weaken. The flowers I got her fall along with my arm. I put the flowers down on the table, "Where are the girls," looking at her in amaze. She mouths, "home." Taking in a deep breathe, I hug her, seeing her makes me nervous. She looks to the corner of the room in trying to show me what's in the corner. I look and it's a big speaker. She walks over and puts a slow song on, she knows I can't hear so she puts it on high volume until I can feel the vibration in the air. We first danced to Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey. There was wine, cheese and crackers on the coffee table. After dancing I had put the movie in. I knew my girl and I knew she gets uncomfortable in dresses. I learned that when we were at my sister's wedding a year— I mean four years ago. "Lani, go put on something comfortable like shorts and a t-shirt. You look very gorgeous to me no matter what you're wearing or what your hair looks like." I told her hugging her from behind.

She goes into the room purposely leaving the door open. I smiled and rolled my eyes but I ignored it anyways, I want her to know that I'm not just some other guy. I want to respect her. I turned down the music a bit so we could watch the movie I brought over. Lani comes out smiling at me. "I know you left the door open on purpose..." I said. "I'm a bit surprised that you didn't peak." She types on her phone as we sit on the couch. I look into her eyes with a bit of disappointment, "Why are you surprised? Lani I'm in love with you meaning I'm going to respect you as much as I can. I'm not just another guy who's trying to peak at everything I can. Lani don't you know me? What happened over the four years I've been in a coma?" She looks down and I lift her head up, her eyes water; she seemed like she wanted to cry. I hugged as she sat cris-cross-apple sauce style facing me. Then she slowly started to cry and her shoulder shook. I let her cry as much as she needed on my chest and I kissed the top of her head. She gets up from my chest wiping her eyes. She starts typing on her phone, "The first two years when you were in your coma I was walking to a bar. I was messed up because I had left you in Spain and realized it was a big mistake. I started drinking and Julie was obviously two around this time.

So Chica did me a big favor and came to Hawaii to help me out. She took care of Julie for awhile. One night I walked to the bar already intoxicated but I was kind of conscious. A group—a group of guys came behind me and grabbed me. They had blind folded me before I could turn to look who they were. I know there— I know there was more then two guys at least. I felt hands all over my body and— in places they shouldn't be. I wasn't wearing anything inappropriate," she starts crying as she types all of this and I wasn't sure if she wanted me to hold her after knowing what happened to her, "As it happened I kinda of froze, I yelled 'no, please stop' but then I went silent and I froze. I woke up in an ally and that's when Jay, my husband, found me there. He brought me into the hospital and called 911. He had stayed with me through that entire journey. That's why I love him but I'll never love someone like I loved you and that's why I left in the first place, I loved you too much. I always got hurt and I was afraid too but you didn't want to hurt me and it took me awhile to realize that." I gave her the longest kiss that I have ever had.

We watched the movie and ended up cuddling. This was my last day with her before I had to go on the plane. We had fallen asleep on the couch after eating so much Hawaiian ice cream. She was knocked out way before me and I guess it's a mom thing because she looked exhausted. I lifted her up carrying her into her room. I laid her in the bed, covered her, and kissed her goodnight. I went into the living room and just couldn't sleep. So I walked by Lani's room a few times to make sure she was ok. I finally got tired and closed my eyes. A few minutes go by and I feel a tap on my shoulder. I wake up to Lani's husband above me.
