Weathered Walls

My new resurgence
of restlessness to speak.
Not aloud for crowds
But write things clouding
my tightly wound mind
in this unrested society
pleading for the essence
of good to return ~

Words like 'brotherhood'
and 'sisterhood'
thirsty crowds looking
for anything leaning
towards Robin Hood ~

waiting
something pure
seeking hope
in a world
that awakes
in fear
of new words
'He' has again
toyed on Twitter ~

I'd rather leave
speeches for those with letterheads and brassy
name plates polished
to deflect those that come
willingly to reflect change
to things seen as noxious ~

What I need is a mind
of peace,
My children to see
humanity in reach,
The freedom of speech
not abused to
Political games creeping
inside their little minds

weakness ...

A backlash of the present
the 'now' of  aggressively
demanding instant gratification

change...

Writers, musicians, Poets

WE must step out
Of our weathered walls
Our minds in storms
Our feelings of defeat ...

It is our time to approach
The benches in urban cities
Media gone wrong ?
Offer wrong a song
Poets write in positive light
Artists paint that inner passion
On a city concrete wall
Giving hope to pain
Stars of Celebrity call
keep that good energy
You can promote sharing your
Dark times to keep those
Barely hanging on...
To grasp harder everyday!

Because together...
Weathered walls can be supported not to fall
Doors can be opened
We can lean on one another ~
